No one has a right to consume happiness without producing it. Helen Keller

“No one has a right to consume happiness without producing it.” – Helen Keller

I get so much joy doing things for other people. It always turns my days from lackluster to warm and wonderful. I can almost feel a light turn on inside me when I know something I did was just what that person that day.

when was the last time you did something for someone for no reason at all?

If You Wish To Be a Pencil To Write Someone’s Happiness, Then Try To Be a Nice Eraser To Remove Some of The Sadness

We can make bigger impacts on other people’s lives than you might guess. For instance, when you are in a store next time:

Pay attention to the people waiting on you, working for you, unpacking boxes, lifting and doing manuel labor. Ask them how they are doing and don’t just create elevator talk, but genuinely care. Don’t ask the question, unless you genuinely want to know!

People can tell who is a good person, who is kind, who is caring and compassionate. I can. That is because I learned those qualities when I was very young, as a very sickly kid who was diagnosed with a strange diagnosis-epilepsy- of which no medicine was working. I learned who was a kind person quickly and I learned big words quickly and how to read medical journals etc.

So when it comes to caring about other people, when I ask someone a question like “how are you” with a smile, I mean it.
Watch what happens next time you ask the people you work with that question and just do something nice for no reason, other than you can.

Those times makes people’s days, and sometimes, your small act could be a huge thing to that person.

Do more and the world will give back to you.

What would you do if you didn’t worry about who would criticize you for doing it?

Would it make you happy?

Would you be good at it?

Man’s Real Life is Happy, Chiefly Because He is Ever Expecting That it Soon Will Be

“Man’s real life is happy, chiefly because he is ever expecting that it soon will be so.” – Edgar Allan Poe

My mother Ramona use to tell me when I was a small child
“Whatever you believe you can do you will do. Envision yourself successful and you will be. Work as hard as you possibly can on every task you do, and you will be successful at it, whatever it may be.” Mom was right and I think of her many times every day as I am living proof that what she told me was fact. Shoot to be the top in everything you do, and try to be the best at it. Any job that is worth doing, is worth doing well.”

As Edgar Allen Poe said in his words about Man being happy largely due to him believing he will be, he was right.

Whether you are a man, woman or child, your attutude and the words you tell yourself outloud or subconsciously can bring you up so you reach the stars in the sky, or they can drop you in a depressing revene it will take some work & determination to get out of.

Choose your friends carefully and avoid negative, hurtful “family” members that only bring you down.

Remember this when evaluating who to keep in your life and who to avoid:

Family is who loves you, cares about your welfare, includes you, remembers you, worries about you and would miss you if you weren’t there.
