So many prayers being answered and I am so grateful….

Above image taken by my dear friend Frederick Blanche at Lake Las Vegas Friday night. It was the first time I had ever been to Lake Las Vegas and I really had no idea where he was taking me to, as he wanted to keep it a surprise.

It was the most beautiful, cool evening with the enchanting lights all around and the reflection of the moon on the water. The delicate Breeze that felt like Southern California in Newport Beach and it reminded me of Fashion Island with the towering palm trees lining the massive Marquee wall as you turn the corner and drove into the area.

Every element was there to make an extraordinary moment and a stellar memory to go with it: the place, the time the special spontaneous moment and the company which was the center attraction.

One of the many enchanting restaurants in the Galleria are by Lake Las Vegas. There is a cozy French Bistro I wanted to go to and have coffee and soak up the atmosphere, people, sights. aromas and sounds….but that will be for a return trip sometime.

I’ve been praying to God in my words only and in the way that I want to- nothing scripted, nothing written, only spoken out loud and written on a whiteboard in my kitchen. The more I do that the more I’m seeing all my prayers answered almost immediately.

I just felt better all the way around. In my life health comes first and there are how many elements of the Catholic church that I don’t care for, but it was always the faith that I was raised in. With the Catholic Church you’re always begging God for everything and it’s a very self-deprecating faith or you’re never quite good enough for anything.

Don’t argue with anybody about that is just how I feel.

The great thing is once I realize that, and really look to see how I felt I can just put in my own words, I felt much better and it was liberating because that’s what you’re supposed to do according to the Bible anyway.

I had written that I wanted to find a personal assistant that was good and kind with a good heart who is talented and genuine. I wrote that on my whiteboard in the kitchen, and every day I read each one and pray and visualize each one happening.

I also that I wanted to find a partner that I could go into business with with, and others who had complimentary talents with mine, and I also have done just that.

We are meeting tomorrow and will bring to the table both of our minds, experiences and ideas and skills and abilities, which will be better than one.

PLM Studios who was a great photographer, artistic, with great people skills who had a marketing background.

I met that individual yesterday at a place I never went to in my life but just had a hunch to go there. I think sometimes hunches is God whispering to you and if you’re a spiritual person like myself, as you get older you really tune in on those things like a navigational GPS system guiding a satellite in the solar system.

And lastly I wrote I wanted to meet a wonderful guy who was kind and genuine with a good heart and of course a gentleman and all those prayers were incredibly answered in one day yesterday; it was almost surreal but it happened.

I also met a sweet, handsome intelligent gentleman who is a portraiture artist and who plays guitar. He and I have recently been getting to know each other. He asked me to play a song on my rosewood upright grand yesterday so I chose a piece I wrote called Mystic. It was awesome yo hear his excitement and it was great to simply play my piano again! Can I play the keys of the computer or smartphone or tablet incentive the keys of my piano and I know I should do it more often. Music was my first and only love for majority of my life after all.

He and I were talking about going into a studio in the future and playing some music together. I would draft up the chord chart for him to follow and we could record some of the songs that I wrote many years ago, which would be awesome.

This is something I prayed to do. I have simply spoken my prayers from my heart guided by the innermost depths of my soul while I envision them happening and writing them all with positive affirmations on my white board I see through the day.

Everyday and every minute the world is changing and so are we and we must be receptive to when we are changing and listen to what are instincts and true self says.

I didn’t feel like the Rosary did anything for me anymore, almost like I had moved on to a new Spiritual Realm, which is okay. As human beings the best things that we can do for herself and the best gift we can give ourselves is be true to ourselves. I feel is more true to my character.

I also began reading a phenomenal new book by Alan Cohen, the author of Handle with Prayer, a book which revolutionized my life the same day I started reading it. Things started getting better in my life immediately because of the way I thought about my relationship with God and the Omnipotent Presence or Higher Power is you may want to call it.

The new book that I begin reading on a free download from joining one of Alan Cohen mailing lists that tell all about what he’s doing all over the world is called “The Grace Factor”.

The Grace Factor speaks about how we all born complete and our uniqueness have our own uniqie beauty and we all have a right to be happy and to have blessings bestowed on us. In other words, The Grace Factor talks about instead of begging God for everything it’s you have a right to it and God is there with you helping you do all these things and the world. Treasures are waiting for you if you only ask for them….because you are deserving.

It’s totally different than the way I was raised.

I simply speak from my heart and from my soul, and from the innermost depths of my being -because I can, and that’s what I do best and because I am 100 genuine. Being genuine is all I know how to be.

May 26th 2018. 12:41 p.m.

One of my longtime friends said it was “transparent”, and I really didn’t understand what that meant. But if it means not saying anything that isn’t true or true to your nature and not saying anything unless you believe it, then that’s me.

I know that God listens when you and I are genuine, taking all the barriers down and facades and you truly ask for what you need and the wisdom to guide you in the direction you need.

When you have the utmost good intention in your heart, GOD LISTENS.

If I wrote my entire name, complete with my middle name, confirmation name, maiden name and then married name it would look something like this….

Paulette Ann Therese Le Pore Motzko.

I was confirmed in 2001 after reading prayers of my Nanny’s and seeing a St. Therese chaplet advertised in the church bulletin.

I sent for it and began saying the 24 Glory Be To The Father prayers, (one for each of the 24 years she lived), asking her to carry my intention’s to the Throne of God like a bouquet of sweet roses. Roses started appearing in places where no roses grew and always when I asked for something,  or the prayer would be answered.

That’s when I wanted to become confirmed, adding Therese to my name as a testimony to her influence in my life, which was very late for any Catholic.  I never cared about what any one else did,  but always stayed true to myself and genuine of heart. My Mother was my Sponsor with the Bishop. Those photos are stellar to look back on today.

Even if you’re not Catholic but Christian, Muslim, Jewish or any other faith; there is great merit to be gleaned in St. Therese’s wisdom-filled words.

Baby Grand by Billy Joel and Ray Charles on Spotify

Me on my Nanny’s Henry F Miller piano she brought with her from Florida to California when she can to live with us when I was 9 years old. Little would I know how that piano would become my best friend.

I haven’t played this song for some time  since I had my digital Roland 88 keyboard with incredible sampled sounds of a full size concert grand on it. Like many things, it was sold when  moved to Las Vegas. I have often thought of selling this other couch nobody ever sits on and getting a new 88 keyed awesome sampled digital piano with weighed keys. I would have way more FUN with it.

My upright rosewood grand with the dynamic range of a medium size grand piano came with me and sits awaiting my eager hands to play that very song Baby Grand that is the reason I bought the score you see in the picture.

The best things in life really are free….

The best things in life really are free

Like crisp, clean ocean breezes

A baby‘s smile

The morning serenade of a bird‘s song

Beautiful people whose soul‘s shine like stars

And beautiful natural settings like this one of The Huntington Beach Pier in Orange County, CA.

If they would think about the children involved they’re killing. War is a Triple Loss.

Paulette Motzko’s Writing Books  Recommendations and Pathways to Inspiration

This article was inspired by one of my recent followers, who went through a very tragic and tumultuous year. Because of this it stopped this once prolific writer from producing anything at all.

Sometimes we can be over critical on ourselves, overanalyzing everything that we do. That quality doesn’t help us when we create anything of value in this world, written or otherwise. Create because you want to create. Whether it be be a mud pie, a sandcastle,  a watercolor painting, a photograph, a beautiful song,  a recipe, a loaf of bread, or  the manuscript for your first book.

Wallpaper Image from Zedge.com.

Writing can be catharsis or it can be euphoria. You can carve every word just as though you were Michelangelo and you were carving marble transforming  something  hard and solid into something that breathes with life.

That’s the analogy I like best when it comes to writing, and it has served me well since my Honors English days in High School. I took every English class that Garden Grove High had to offer I had phenomenal teachers, better than even in college.

And one thing I did in every writing class is writing is to write in my personal Journal -and just write every day.

In other words, write things that the world never see.

There are things that are only for you, God, and serve a very valid purpose.  If you don’t have a journal, go buy a nice one at Barnes & Noble, or simply use Microsoft Office  Word  on your smartphone computer or tablet.

Through devoting time to writing in a special place that inspires you, which is very important, extraordinary things will emerge. Stories can develop right before your eyes, poems can be written, recipes can be thought of.

With everything you write anywhere, especially on a Blog that seen all over the world – you’re gaining  experience, exposure, notoriety, readership and it’s just enjoyable. The enjoyable part is the most important one of all.

Once you start carving out time for writing, you’ll start carving words that are memorable and lasting and worth remembering.

If you are a writer, check out my other blog called A Writer’s Joy. A Writer’s Joy

Any kind of art, written or otherwise, is an extension of your soul. Art I’d an extension of  your inner most being. Writing is one of those timeless arts, that if used in the right way,  can outlive you do great things long after you leave this earth, creating a legacy.

Write because you feel what you’re doing is beautiful and has merit, or serves a valid purpose, or can simply  give joy, enlightenment someone, educate or you’d simply like to share it with the world. That’s exactly what you can do on a blog.

I’m going to be adding to this book list over the next week. I’m going to start with these two, which in themselves are phenomenal starting points, even if no other books were added to the list.

I hope my words of encouragement and blessings on all of your present and future creations extraordinary Beyond Your Wildest Dreams! To all of the artists, writers, photographers, musicians, and chefs create what’s never been created before. Enjoy the process. Learn everything you can about your craft. Read books, and associate with people who are doing what you want to do and let them enter you in every way they possibly can. Listen to advice and listen to helpful criticism but don’t let others dim the light that shines inside you that’s waiting to burst like a beacon to the world.

Do you live in a big city like I do? Share what it looks like at this Winter wonderland time of year in words.

Do you live in the country away from the hustle and bustle of city lights, where it’s quiet enough to hear crickets chirp at night?

Share what your holiday looks like and feels like seeing  through your unique eyes.

If you make your words picturesque enough you won’t need photos and instead will allow the readers to use that great, underused thing called “their imaginations.”

Relaxing Background Guitar Music & How Creating An Inspiring Environment by Paulette Motzko

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv1Yx3eFnEg&feature=share

I love this beautiful acoustic guitar play list.

If you are a creative person just like I am, the key is to find out to flowing inspiration is to know in an intimate way what environment helps you create the best in yourself.

Keep repeating it over and over again. What works for you will be different than anyone else.

Things that inspire me are…

Beautiful natural surroundings are beautiful places

The Pacific Ocean

Majestic mountains

Enchanted Forest’s

Inspiring workplaces that are conducive to concentration

Special music playlist and help bring out the best in your artwork. This could be writing, this could be photography, this could be cooking or painting or some other art form.

The special place that everytime you go there you meet someone extraordinary. I have several places like that and I don’t even question what happens I just know it happens. Will meet someone who is absolutely extraordinary every time I go to this certain location. If you pay attention you’ll find then you can maximize the positives in your world. Just pay attention and follow your instincts and usually always steered in the right direction.

And lastly I do a lot of meditation everyday I’m prayer and centering thought hoping to create something I feel give something back to the universe, and will last long after I touched the face of God.

It’s a learning curve when you’re a writer or a photographer or an artist it would never put you in the right frame of mind, and helps you create the best that is in your soul- then do it.

When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. Joel Osteen

Joel Osteen says: “When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged. It’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.”

Beautiful Chinese Proverb

As I was reading the inside forward of the first of the series of Chicken Soup for the Soul books by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, I spotted this beautiful Chinese proverb which I will share with you because it’s enlightening in so many ways and it shows how we’re all connected on this planet and one thing has a chain reaction.

If there is Light in the Soul, there will be Beauty in the Person.

If there is Beauty in the person, there will be Harmony in the house.

If there is Harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation.

If there is Order in the Nation, there will be Peace in the World.

Paulette Motzko Welcome’s Cooler Days in The High Desert

Above image created by Paulette Motzko, Copyright September 2016

Photograph of Paulette Motzko taken by my manager friend who works at Blueberry Hill- when I first moved to Las Vegas. The background image was photographed by me in Vista, CA as I was walking down the street to go to the Vista Library and I loved the shapes of the leaves on the trees there. Vista in San Diego County is totally different than Orange County in that it is more hilly and has more types of lush green foliage.

The images were united last night with a sophisticated blending and blurting app I installed yesterday.

So, in that photo three different times were involved and would different geographic locations.

Wherever you are today, take time to look at Nature’s Bountiful Colorful Gifts growing around you.

Get out your camera and immortalize them.

A great photograph says the world without ever uttering a word.

It is a silent, visual communicator.

Fall in Las Vegas, NV reminds me of just about every day in beautiful southern California with it’s cool Pacific Ocean breezes.

I would much rather wear a jacket and be cool than sweat or bake like a human cookie in 115 degree heat.

One beautiful fall day I was able to see what Autumn looks like a New England in Vermont. I’ll never forget it because I was going on a business trip with no EX yes she really is a rocket scientist with bowling working on the Delta rocket. Later their marriage, because he traveled so much, I was able to go on a few trips with them and the hotel we stayed at was very strategically pickrf yo be by shopping and restaurants all walking distance-because I dont drive. I’m my mind”s eye, and I do have  very vivid memory, so I will paint the picture of what I saw on that serene afternoon in Vermont:

I was so fascinated with the fact that the towns were so quaint and Charming but nothing like the big city in Southern California that I was used to. All the properties had you Jones and green like as if you painted them or drew them with the kids Crayola crayon set in green. It it just rained and you could see a white Chapel, just like out of Currier and Ives that was so pristine and quaint and Charming maybe want to go inside look around. Hit my ex been a Christian guy and said agnostic we probably would have done just that. But the memories I have of Vermont in the autumn are so wonderful.

I wasn’t a published writer then and not one of my blogs had been created yet. This was 1990.  I want to go back either to Vermont in the Autumn in the future when the leaves are Ablaze with the colors of red, rest, dark green and the foliage comes in about every size and shape you can imagine.

When you grew up in the big city with nothing but towering palm trees that rise to the sky and beautiful blue expanses beaches and ocean- up and down the Pacific coast…. places like Vermont are refreshing, not so much even for the scenic countryside, but for the great and totally genuine people I met while passing through.

People in small towns have more time and more patient and it’s like going back in time to a simpler, gentler time when people stayed off smartphones- because they didn’t exist and  made eye contact more and people were the most important thing.

There’s so many wonderful places but I want to go in the United States but I’ve seen just mere vignettes or samplers of what I know is to come.

When was the last time that you looked up in the sky and saw something beautiful, and you knew that there was a God who made it all?
You knew that the same God that made that sun rise or sun set made you as extraordinary too.

That Omnipotent Presence speaks through Nature to me.

Everyday there occasions where if you look, you’ll be able to see signs of Hope, signs Joy, signs of courage and of inspiration.

When was the last time that you saw something that made you realize there was a God and that great things are in your reach?

Prayer For Our Nation

God our Father, Giver of life,
We entrust The United States of America to your loving care.

image

image

You are The Rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Reclaim this land For Your Glory and dwell among Your people.

Send your spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that that accompany human freedom.

Remind your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your will.

Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the culture of death.

Lead us into the New Millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

One aspect of your life may be bad, but all your ingredients are not in.

“One aspect of your life may be bad, but all your ingredients are not in. Remember, a little baking soda can make a huge difference in a cookie recipe. Just a little break, just one person, just one idea, just one touch of God’s favor can turn the bitter into the sweet, sorrow into Joy, the mourning into dancing.”

-Joel Osteen from his phenomenal book- It’s Your Time.

image

Last night, before I went to bed I picked up Joel Osteen’s book in large print edition called it’s your time I got it from the library.

I absolutely love the title on it and under the title was printed “Activate Your Faith, Achieve Your Dreams and Increase God’s Favor Now. That’s before I even knew about his book called “I Declare” which I discovred from some pins on Pinterest.
I would recommend getting both of them. His metaphors are fresh and inventive and creative and it’s just exactly what I needed and was “the missing ingredient” if you will, and the “recipe” for my life of this week after losing my mother on the 5th.

It’s wonderful how he says “it’s not one isolated event that determines your destiny. All the ingredients arent in in yet, comparing our lives to a recipe with different experiences as the ingredients.

We have different experiences we go through in life that make the complete picture.

So sometimes, the best ingredients, like it’s in a chocolate chips in a chocolate chip cookie recipe are saved for last.

I know it’s very difficult for me at this time because I haven’t even gone to the funeral yet for mom, and another that put both their ashes together in a military cemetary. I will get through it and I will not be alone.

And I know that it sure as the chapter closes of my mother’s sweet, wonderful, forever misses life, other chapters are opening on my life that will take me in new, positive directions…but it is hard now.

God bless all who read my words all over the world! .

My Mother is Dying But Her Spirit Lives Through Me

I was a caregiver for my sweet mother Ramona Lea Le Pore who on the last decade of her life was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

My sister in law contacted me to yell me mom has a tumor on her kidney and is now dying.
I knew the time would come when mom would leave this earth and touch the face of God, being reunited with dad in heaven, but I wasn’t prepared for so sudden of tragic news.

image

image

In my old kitchen drinking tea with mom after making dinner

image

As long as I am alive, mom’s name will be in the prefaces of the books I will write, and so many creative things my mother helped show me how to do by believing in me: piano playing, cooking, poetry, lyric writing and singing.

She was my cheerleader, my best friend, my confidant and encouraged my creativity. I miss hearing her voice and laughter.
She was the most appreciative person I ever knew or will know.
That’s why it was a joy to do anything for her like cook her favorite meal.

image

Mom and I in the 16 x 20 photo to the right on my desk last Christmas 2015.

Little would I know that the photo I created to immortalize a stellar moment in time would be the only vestige of my mother to keep me going. With no ability to make phone calls or talk to her the photo was and is all I have.

image

Mom and dad when dad was in The Air Force

image

I had been thinking of mom all week and just feeling something strange like an inner voice telling me mom might not have much longer to live. This morning I looked up at the 16 x 20 mural I had made of mom and I happy in Huntington Beach, CA and am happy I immortalized the moment.

image

Mom sitting across from me happy on a beautiful southern California day at Ruby’s Diner.

image

Mom from the time I was 4 years old read to me and taught me phonetics, opening my eyes to wider worlds. She was a visionary before that word was popular.

image

Mom taught me to see the beauty in the simple pleasures of life….in flowers, nature and taught me to cherish people and take care of the things you own-and in that order of priority.

Mom loved being useful and when she cared about you, she would go to the ends of the earth to make you happy. If you complimented something she might give it to you!

image

image

image

The photo I took from the wall that was cut from a 16 x 20 that survived a fire. Much like my mother, the photo was resilient and a survivor.

This photo that’s on my upright grand piano and a crucifix that belonged to Nanny my grandmother are all I took when I was told “take what you want from mom’s stuff.”

Mom was alive but with Alzheimer’s disease and if she didn’t put it in my hand I wasn’t going to take it. I wanted to be remembered for what I gave her instead of what I took from her.

Hearing the birds singing their morning song at 4:46 a.m. I am going to wrap this up by saying hug those around you who you care about. Live life so you have no regrets and give more than you take. I sincerely tried to do just that with my mother but I will miss her terribly. Her smile was like the sun to me.

Please pray for my mother and family and I. Thank you.

Of all the photos I created, this one reminds me of Julianna Yuri Snow the most.

God bless your wonderful, sweet courageous soul Julianna Yuri Snow.

You touched my heart and I never got to meet you.

Your story touched me and because I am a caring lady,  tears are streaming down my cheeks,  which us not what you wanted, but I love tea parties too and only wished you could have experienced many MORE of them!

My most sincere condolences to the extraordinary Snow Family. You are as courageous as your sweet daughter, just in a different, supportive way.

The photo is of my CA friend John Madrigal, who I met at a Starbucks in Stanton. Though he lives in The Phillipines now and I have been a resident in the high Desert of Las Vegas, NV for two years now, we communicate every day via Facebook.

We have a bond that time or distance will not sever. I hope he comes out here to visit and we can write a story together with both of our photography illustrating it. That would be a dream of mine realized.

He is also a photographer and blogger like I am and his landscape photography inspired me to go outside my comfort zone and shoot new mediums I had never explored before.

He is an beats to the sound of his own drum like I do, and makes a living by using his creative gifts God gave him, which were many.

The image of John Madrigal was taken close to Long Beach, CA, as you can see the Queen Mary in a distance. I don’t know who took the photo, but I made it look like a painting.

“5 Ways to Improve your COMMUNICATION Skills – #BelieveLife” on YouTube with Commentary by Paulette L Motzko, Totally Inspired Mind

What an awesome 25 minute video from the Believe channel by Evan Carmichael.

The first presenter speaks of the key points of communication and he uses an acronym “HAIL” which stands for Honesty, Authenticity , Integrity and Love.

Very well done! Those are huge things I value in life. ALL THE PEOPLE I ASSOCIATE WITH MUST possess those qualities. That is a prerequisite with me.
If they do not, I simply don’t associate with them.

Life is too short to hang with crows or buzzards when you can soar with the eagles instead.

After YOU ARE 18 years old, you have the right to choose who you associate with.

If your family member is malicious or doesn’t have your best interest in mind, or is just psychologically messed up and causes havoc in your life– you simply don’t need to be around them.

I have a few family members like that. You can’t exchange family members like a bad poker hand, but you can simply walk away from the game and let them play by themselves.

When I was about 6 years old I remember mom saying ” who you are around is what you become.”
So, when looked at things in that context, becomes very easy to weed people out of your life and be more selective.

For instance, when I used to do gardening in my last house in Orange before my divorce, I remember putting this stuff called Preen my flower box with the geraniums, gladiolus, daffodils and Lily of the Nile. It helped to prevent weeds. Yes prevent them. It made it so I didn’t have to sit there breaking my back tending the soil the next day. Even though the stuff cost a fair amount of money, all I had to do was put it on once a month and it saved me work.

Bad people are like weeds and they can infiltrate your life with snuggled edges, and pollute your mind with bad thoughts, colorful language that you really shouldn’t be using, because when you’re around someone that does something over and over again it tends to rub off on you.

If you set high standards in your life and associate with flowers who help you bloom too, the garden called your life will always bloom.

If you compare bad people to weeds- people who possess the opposite of the qualities outlined in the acronym HAIL, it becomes very easy to not let them take over your pretty flower garden… otherwise known as your world. Your life, like a flower garden, blooms in direct proportion to what you plant.

Images photographs and created by Paulette L Motzko, PLM Studios, Las Vegas, Nevada Copyright 2015 and 2016

Let every one of the people in your life bloom on their own. People who share a common denometer with you, naturally help you bloom to the most of your ability…because they are blooming themselves and are happy with where they are in life. Conversely, people who aren’t happy in life, and who only bring negative things to the forefront, are people who will usually try to drag you down to their low existence.

Don’t let them do it.

The most important things to me are honesty, integrity, tactfulness, of course- because you don’t just want to say anything that comes to your mind in the sake of being honest to somebody.

All these things put together build your reputation. Your reputation is what you’re going to leave when you’re not here anymore and that’s what people will remember most about you.

It’s not how many cars you have in the driveway, it’s not how fancy your Gucci bag is, but simply how you treat other people and how you made them feel when they were around you.

Those things form who you become in life and who people know you to be.

That really is what matters to me in life. I hope you enjoy this YouTube video I’ve got to find out how to reach Evan Carmichael that does all of these extraordinary “Believe” YouTube videos because they are the best I’ve ever seen.

You have my Paulette Le Pore Motzko Seal of Approval on that Mr Evan Carmichael.

I’ve would love to meet Evan Carmichael one day and congratulate him on an outstanding collection of YouTube videos.

I don’t know how he does it but the finish product is pretty extraordinary.

With my blog Totally Inspired Mind I wanted to contribute something extraordinary and put it out of the universe and then get other like-minded people to join it. It started with a vision and then it became reality in a few hours when I created the blog in a hotel room. Now five years later about a hundred countries read this and now I am going to monetizing it. Currently my payment is sharing what I feel us quality content that is remembered and shared.
I aspire to communicate using the HAIL principles outlined in this YouTube video of honesty, authenticity, integrity and love always.

Google Talk The Global Translation Chat App & & Paulette Motzko’s Thrill of Discovery

I learn many things new through the course of my day everyday. I have always had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, even since I was a small child at 4 years old, learning to read, and then learning phonetics. I learned the meanings of the prefixes and suffixes when I was 6 years old.
I learned the value of a book and the extraordinary concepts within each cover, and libraries became one of my favorite places, and still are.

image

Hot off the press I just created this image to go with this story from a photo I took in Vista, CA about three years ago now.

Photography & Digital Arts by Paulette Motzko

There was never a dumb question around our house and every night around the kitchen table, before we would eat dinner we would bless the food, thank God for everything we had, and look at each other and thank God we had each other. How I wish it was that way today. But people change and so you change with it.

My dad would ask everyone what we learned that day. He would go one by one, and ask each one of us who’s the most extraordinary thing we learned that day. If we didn’t learn anything he would say “go pick up a book” or “how are you doing in school” and things like that.

Every night at dinner time we would sit around our table and we would share what we had learned that day.

Yes, how I wish life was like a projector that you could go back in time and make my siblings remember when they had a heart and soul, but that’s not how life works. Change is the only thing we can count on and those who adapt the best do the best.

Yes, we sat around with a painted picnic table that was painted by my mother and communicated with each other, laughed, my brothers told jokes, and we were there in the moment.

Our family couldn’t afford a kitchen table like the kind they sold in a furniture store, but being the industrious people that the Le Pores are, my dad bought a picnic table that my mother painted white.

As always mom had this way of creating something out of nothing, and when she was done, the table was painted and varnished and had a really pretty flower arrangement on the top of it.

She then bought some yellow gingham sheets that she found on sale, and transformed them into beautiful drapes for our huge kitchen windows.

25 years later, after my parents sold that first house they bought for a mere $20,000 and sold it for $100,000 years later, those drapes are still there. People did not want to take them down and loved them and bragged about how beautiful they were. It was my secret, that they’ll never know they were made out of sheets.

These remain to this day some of the most Stellar memories I have of my childhood.

My Nanny always told us a family who prays together stays together. It’s something she swore by. It was imprinted on the Rosary she prayed on everyday that glowed in the dark. Her words to this day have lit some of my darkest days much like her rosary beads glowed up in the dark as she prayed Hail Marys.

image

We prayed together then and stood by each other. It’s just too bad, my older siblings sold their integrity getting the profits of my parent’s huge duplex, after my dad’s death. My brother in law was like Hitler as power of attorney and and my siblings fell for his half cocked, uncompassionate and unfair treatment of both myself and my mother with Alzheimer’s disease. I was the only one who looked out for her it seemed and spoke for her with a voice she no longer possessed.

image

We could see each other, side by side, and when my dad made money selling major appliances and the table went outside…we sat farther apart. Then the house began to be filled with state of the art TV’s and a huge stereo. The television was on more and we talked less.

I saw this big solid maple, fancy kitchen table being delivered with big clunky, heavy chairs I couldn’t lift, and we sat apart from each other. I liked the picnic table better.

image

Necessity creates innovation and ingenuity. Some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life are some of the poorest. They know how to do it, that they know how to be industrious, and they know as I’ve learned, to do without and make do with what they had.
They have more compassion for others in the same situation.

Back to reading and knowledge..

Mom read it to me everyday, and my sister bought me Golden Books that I read, each one of them looking at the pictures and being immersed in the stories, sounding out the words.

If I didn’t know what the words were, we all played a game where I would figure out what the word meant by taking the prefixes and saying what it meant. Most of time I would get it right with a little fine-tuning. That would add to my vocabulary everyday.

When I knew how easy it was and the extraordinary potential that a person would possess if they could read, assimilate and have the command of the English language, the world was my Pearl.

Like Helen Keller having Anne Sullivan spelling out the word
w-a-t-e-r in her hand in sign language, she knew everything had a meaning.

Mom was my Anne Sullivan, especially as an unpopular kid recently diagnosed at 9 with epilepsy. There was no such word as bullying in school; kids just did it and nobody cared or did anything. Apathy to the max in the school systems.

9 WAS A PIVOTAL AGE FOR ME. LIFE DEALT ME ONE CURSE EPILEPSY BUT IT ALSO BROUGHT A PIANO IN THE HOUSE AND MUSIC, THEN MY LOVE OF COOKING EMERGED AND WRITING WAS SOON TO FOLLOW. IF GOD WAS A CARD DEALER THE DECK WAS STACKED IN MY FAVOR AT A VERY YOUNG AGE.
I just took until I’m almost 55 just see it that way.

image

Paulette Anne Le Pore at 9 playing a song I composed called “My Melody” after mom showed me 4 chords and Nanny explained how the pedals worked……

In 3rd grade at Show and Tell I Showed and demonstrated to my class what the piano did by playing all the songs I wrote. Bringing in bullfrog were boring to me!

Every thing ever built or ever created has a name. The more we understand what those things are the more we can understand our place in the world. Also, the more languages that we speak the more than we can understand others and their cultures and find a common denominator within the two.

As in most days I don’t quite ever know what I’m writing but I never worry about it; I just write.

People who put on the editors cap and are over critical too early in the creative process or worry about what other people think of what they do– never do anything because the creative process is squelched.

Create because you think it has merit, or you think it’s beautiful. It doesn’t matter that the world doesn’t think it’s beautiful or does think its extraordinary. Create it because you feel your artwork is in the very essence of your soul waiting to escape like a butterfly in a meadow and you want to share the reverie with others…and the people in the world are the flowers in the field.

image

image

you know it is that’s why are you think I can help somebody or you feel it’s good. And once you create something you throw it out in the universe and you hope it touches the lives of people and inspires them or shows them a new way. When it does then it’s extraordinary because then it’s a triple win. It’s the people whose viewpoint on what you do make what you write and every word you hand chisel come alive.

When I was a small child I held a book in my hand with a feeling as though I had the whole world in the palm of my hand. I also knew there was so much more available to me and I was just touching a small microcosmic particle of the knowledge available in the World.

Now have a century later, with me at 54 years young, I hold my Galaxy Note 4 phablet with over 100 apps on it, ebooks, over 5,000 high definition photos, and programs I used to have on a clunky big computer that I recently sold. I installed Microsoft Office and MS Word, allowing me to create documents with vocal recognition software for the first time in my life.

You’re talking about a person who types eighty words a minute but can now type with this new technology. My phablet types for me and I edit. History breaking stuff. Pretty cool, huh?

Thanks to engineers, and IT specialist and computer scientists who created the internet systems with satellites in the sky like my ex-husband the rocket scientist help put up with Boeing, we can do things that we never ever thought possible.

I’m old enough and I’ve seen both sides and it is all pretty extraordinary.

I have had this Google Talk app on my phone for better part of a year and I didn’t know that it was a translating device that I could talk to people in their native language in any part of the world for free.

Now that’s a huge piece of info because I have over 800 friends on Facebook and many of them were in Italy, Thailand and the Philippines and Africa. I can learn their language by using it and that’s what’s so extraordinary about it. It comes in handy for business as well.

I can learn figures of speech in in their language, adding color to my writing. This matters to me. I have some baker friends who are artisan bakers in France and I would love to know and understand more of the French language and the pronunciation of how the words sound. Google Talk helps with that.

I hope that this article made you look at the world little differently. If it did, that makes me really happy and that is the coolest thing in the world.

When you change someone’s mind or you Enlighten them to a new fact that they didn’t know,
You’re in essence opening a magic door to new horizons that were unexplored before. I hope you can use some of this in your life, that you find new ways of thinking brings subtle changes in your life.

Maybe it’s raining in your life with problems now, or maybe it’s literally raining like it is here in Las Vegas, NV.

No matter what, figurative or literal, the sun’s rays will be awaiting you on the other side of the storm.

Know you are never alone and as you journey through life God is walking by your side like your Mighty Partner.

The storm clouds will eventually lift and the sun will peer through the clouds again.

Listen to “Your Invisible Power” by GENEVIEVE BEHREND on Librivox

http://librivox.bookdesign.biz/book/6569

I just finished all 17 chapters of Your Invisible Power, and all the reviews of this book were outstanding.

I want to suggest reading it in installments because most chapters aren’t very long.

If you take the bus, like I do, you can listen to chapters while you’re in transport with a headset. That would turn an otherwise boring and arduous commute into something truly interesting.

If you’re driving you can listen to it on the speaker on your smartphone or iPod, iPad or whatever you kind of device you have.

Periodically listen to the last chapter; it only takes about four minutes to listen to. It will periodically give yourself a self-assessment of how well you’re filling your life’s purpose.

You can listen to most chapters while you do chores at home, while you do dishes like I did, and have the sound going through a Bluetooth speaker. Take a task you have been avoiding and listen to a fabulous book at the same time. Librivox has countless free titles to choose from that are in the public domain, and other greatly discounted audio books for sale too.

Most anything you do in life you can turn into something extraordinary if you really want to- you have to want to.

Have a phenomenal day and great weekend.

Prayer is not the overcoming of God’s reluctance, but the taking hold of God’s willingness. Phillip Brooks

This is on the inside cover of a book that I carry around with me every day and say certain portions of it that I’ve marked with a Post-It notes called “Handle with Prayer” by Alan Cohen.

image

I found my copy for a dollar fifty at a book sale in a Friends of The Library sale in southern California, with coffee stains all over the cover and scribbles on the inside, but I didn’t care. I could see the merit of the wonderful book without even reading it. One’s trash is another treasure.

image

The cover was beat up and damaged so I covered it with cat stickers because if I ever had a pet again it would be a cat. The stickers give me joy, make the cover look a little better and strike up conversations from passers by who see me reading it.

It’s published by Hay House Publishers.

I recommend it to anybody.

It’s a fantastic book then we’ll have you thinking in more positive ways and transforming your ideas about prayer, God, what you can do and accomplish and a host of other things.

Alan Cohen has written I believe over 20 books.

http://www.HayHouse.com

The ISBN number on this book handle with prayer is:

ISBN 1 – 56170 – 467 – 9 hardcover

This book is classified as prayer and self-realization and religious aspects.

Now it is December 23rd, 2014 and it is my first Christmas here in Nevada and even though there is no Christmas tree or presents around it, I am living inside my biggest gift of all…my place and just the peace of knowing it is mine …..
And I can relax. I am planning to bring my things from California soon and I can’t wait.

I hope no matter what is going on in your life at this time, and even if it is far from perfect-you can find something festive in it all…
And, most importantly, you experience the small miracles like the smile on a young child’s face and helping an elderly person in a bad wheelchair across the street like I did today.
In giving you get…it is just that simple.

In life we never know what we are getting and what kinds of blessings or tragedies may befall. You can only stack the deck in your favor so when the hand is played you come close to winning.

If every one of you reading this sentence could realize that nobody on earth was dealt a perfect life, then maybe you won’t feel so isolated or sad, just knowing you are not the only one. Everybody on the bus every day I see has their own joys, family, friends and struggles. Just because you don’t know them, don’t fool yourself. Problems in life don’t omit anyone, no matter how much money you make. Often the richest people have the most screwed up lives. They have no idea what to do with all their money and have lost the ability to enjoy simple things. They spend their lives trying new drugs and paying for expensive thrills that leave them flat and uninspired.

As a child who was disabled and went through a merry-go-round-of medicine for epilepsy before I got to the one that worked when I was fourteen-years-old.

I learned big words and related to teachers better than my classmates who made fun of me because I was different. All the things I went through in my early years toughened me up to be a soldier of life and an ambassador of compassion and good will who can related to everyone with a cane, in a wheelchair and who strives each day to know health firsthand and independence.

Even though in life you may have looked at hell in the eye like I did and been through moments where you nearly died; remember you made it out the other end.

A visualization to picture your mind that I created after going through one of the worst year and a half of my life is:

I can see myself walking through a huge hoop of fire and coming out the other end transformed, stronger, and smarter and where ingenuity is in my DNA. After helping my parents pay their house payment thrown the span of 15 years and being betrayed by my siblings I grew up with; it redefined my existence.

We were once a good family, not a perfect family, but we were never an apathetic, hate filled family. There was so much negative dynamics going on between my older siblings and that no matter if my mother needed help, if I could have done over again, I would have looked out for number one and that is all, and got the hell out of there. I can see that in retrospect and wish I would done that, but if I had mom wouldn’t have anyone who gave a damn and she wouldn’t be in the senior home she is now.

The things you learn in life gaining wisdom are vast.

What have you learned in life?

Are there lessons you can pass on to others?

What is a lesson you learned that you can pass on to another to make their path smoother, watching out for rocks and boulders?

You see, when you do without you learn to compromise. You learn how to substitute and you truly get to know what it is like to live on a bargain basement existence that only those who frequent places like The 99 Cents Store, Dollar General remembering numerous times since moving to Nevada and having my SSI cut by $150 a month-times when I couldn’t afford anything in the dollar store!

What I do know out of the tragic and almost mind boggling callous and low class way I was treated in the end of making great sacrifices for my mom and financially helping my dad by living on the duplex he was still making payments on after 2001. I learned that there are people who look like a human being but are missing a soul and a conscious; my siblings fit that description. I only hope that they regret it one day. I know I did the best I could in spite of going through adversity myself. In other words, we are only responsible for ourselves and there comes a point where all the talking in the world isn’t going to change things.

image

Move on. Look back and accept what you did and embrace the choices you made.

Just because you were betrayed doesn’t mean you have betray someone else. Just because you were hit, doesn’t mean you have to hit someone else. Someone else’s cold heart doesn’t have to be yours and shouldn’t be yours.

Why the Lord allows good people to go through hell none of us will know, especially when their hearts and souls are good.

In life what matters most is for you to not focus on the dark aspects or “shadows” in your life. Look at the “bright spots” that sparkle like Orion on a clear night in the desert. Keep the friends who have become family; they are your new family.

image

Just because you are related to someone doesn’t give them the right to be in your life. To have the right someone has to treat you with dignity and respect. If those elements are missing, then you really don’t need the person in your life.

Remember, every negative person drags you down. Every positive person lifts you and your spirits up.
You want to be dragged down to the nether world, or do you want to keep people around you who also set their aspirations on high and noble things. Forget the rest.
I pray to meet people who are kind, caring, compassionate who care about the world around them and who care about children, the environment and the world issues.
Here is a cool visual for you: I also pray to NOT MEET negative, pessimistic people and to avoid or REPEL people with rotten intentions people just like water droplets on Vaseline.
What story will you retell people?

Will it be a triumphant one? A Courageous One? An Extraordinary One?

Make the things you say be as amazing as yourself, because the spoken word is what people will remember about you.

Do you want to be a mina bird of the same, sad story or do you want to force yourself to grow, find the wisdom in your pain and to help people they are not alone.

If pain and suffering has to be, let it be transformed to bring someone up from their aloneness.
I hope this 1,534 word story does just that. Come out of your cave and light the light and let it shine on only the good and the great. No matter what your faith, don’t lose hope and never quit believing the good and just win. And even if they don’t “win” they show everybody in the world how they can! After all, people are only winners or losers in their minds. What you think you are you will be.
I hope every word changes your minds, and transforms your spirit and helps you think about the experiences you have gone through and how you carry them around.
Troubles can be on your shoulders like lead weights or you can problem solve, pray and meditate and gain insight. To do that you need solitude and uninterrupted time so you can think. When was the last time you gave yourself that gift? It is through self-introspection that you grow and transform into something greater.
Learn to journal and write every day your innermost feelings. At first at will feel awkward doing it, but it will come more naturally with time. In time you will look forward to it. Make it a minimum of 30 minutes. Go to a library where you can be guaranteed to not be bothered and where it is quiet enough you can hear yourself think. Preferably have nobody see it but you and God and your soul.
In your first journal book entry: make a list of all the things you are thankful for this moment.
Now make a list of things you need to work on to be happier and feel better.
Number them and create a plan of action.
Make the most of what you have now. If you want more, work for it all and enjoy what you have NOW. This time will never come again. When you are 85 ladies you will think you look like pretty hot now! Hey guys, tell your mom and dad you love them, they won’t be around forever. I am reminded that our time on this extraordinary earth is limited. Make the most of your travels here.

It is only then that you can take what were problems and setbacks and throw them in the sea and watch the seagulls take them away to the wild blue.
Put some beautiful and inspiring music on iheart.com radio or Pandora.com and get in touch with who you really are. When you do that, you will find you have way more going for you but you just overlooked what you were given.

Written with love to the world.

Don’t Chase People-Instead Try to Attract The Right People-Reflect What You Want to Find

Image

Be What You Want to Attract

By Paulette Le Pore Motzko

March 22, 2013

Instead of chasing people who could care less, simply invest your precious time on those who already know your worth. This is a gift to yourself and them. There are too many people who already like you and feel you are worthy, without a “sell-job”. Everyone has their special innate talents and gifts and personalities. Some personalities clash like cymbals such as my brothers and I who have tempers and are like bulls in china closets putting always on the gruff exterior.

We all play our own melodies that reflect what we believe, what we love and what we value. When you put them all together it plays a kind of “music of our soul” and who we are. Why play punk music or acid rock when you want Bach instead? Why listen to John Cage in dissonant notes of 21st century modern music when you can instead listen to French Impressionistic Claude Debussy or Big Band Glenn Miller, or Henry Mancini, Montovani, or popular music? We are all byproducts of our upbringings and what we learn and grow into, like flowers. Some don’t get proper fertilizer and end up as weeds, and aren’t pretty at all but grow out all over the place.

Write down the things that matter to you in values and then make sure you show that to people in every word that comes out of your mouth. If you value people who “do what they say they do”, then make darn sure you do the same, or your integrity will be lost forever.

I hope you have enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Somehow no matter what I am going through, when I write it is as though all the concepts and imagery all come together like a grand symphony.

Remember in life nothing is constant and things are constantly changing around us, just look at the earth as a grand example. We are rotating on an axis every moment of the day but it is so gradual it is indistinguishable.

Keep what you love around you-in terms of people and things and you will be a much happier and healthier person.

That last sentence when employed and put to work in you life can save you health problems, aggravation and also dusting a million objects around your house that you didn’t even care about in the first place.

When everything in your world, including people, earn their place in your hearts and world by being something or someone that gives you joy back, your life takes a new meaning.

What do you hope to attract in your life?

Is there anyone you were chasing without knowing it? Don’t force life or people or situations. There are too many people that cannot imagine a world without you in it to focus on the few that aren’t intelligent enough you include you in theirs.

I wish you health, peace, serenity and enough money to keep you happy and pay for what you need and some left over to enjoy some of what you want!

Money isn’t evil-it removes stress and is a tool to accomplish things in life. It is what you do with the money that makes it bad or good, much like the internet.

Beautiful Back Drop Waterfall at The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

BeautifulBackdropbyWaterfallLasVegas8.2011

One of the views from the patio of a restaurant I was in two years ago at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, USA. I want to go back there and this time, take my computer and enjoy some peace and solitude and just listen……to the waterfall coming down and feel the mist on my face. It was so wonderful there. Can you see it in your mind’s eye too?

Also, is there some where in your “mind’s eye” that you can recall vividly?

Share it in the comment box so others can enjoy the breath-taking view!

Focus on Problems & You’ll Have Problems-Focus on Possibilities Instead

Focus on Problems & You'll Have Problems-Focus on Possibilities Instead

Make Opportunities, Set Goals and Make it Happen.

Make a list of the problems that have been bugging you for the past month or week or year on a simple lined piece of paper.

(I know that computers exist and people type all the time like me typing this sentence. There is something about going back to simpler times of a pen and lined paper that makes this exercise more effective.)

Once you have your list compiled, begin writing and creating solutions to your problems like this:

1. Problem 1

2. Problem 2

3. Problem 3

That is enough to work with. Hopefully you don’t have more than 3 problems, if you do then press onward and keep itemizing them until the paper holds the baggage instead of your shoulders and mind.

Then under each number list the possible solutions like this in a, b, c, d, e, like an outline.

1. Problem

Solution a

Solution b

Solution c

Look at the scenarios you created and choose the best, easiest, to-the-point solution that is the most effective without hurting another person or causing damage on another, that is!

If you have bleeding ulcers caused by a human being, then simply remove that person out of your life and try to find people who are more considerate to your well-being and thoughtful to you.

(I had that happen to me and couldn’t afford the ulcer pills which were $20 a piece, so I simply removed the root of the problem! Doing that removed 3 people out of my world, but I got better really quickly!)

If there are situations in your life that cause problems, list them all down and then do the same thing as in the prior exercise. Find solutions and then apply them in your world.

Things like this can take years of counseling and throw them out the window by simply believing in yourself enough to only associate with positive and loving people and anyone that drags you down or is verbally or physically damaging to you-simply wean yourself away from them permanently.

After all, you have one life to life and then we hope we contribute something positive and lasting to the world once we are gone. How can we do this unless we choose the best friends and care about ourselves enough to do that. The better we treat ourselves the better work we will do, and hence the more successful we will become. My mother taught me that years ago. God bless her Ramona Lea Le Pore.

I wouldn’t be “me” without her, which is why I will continue fighting for her welfare amidst hateful siblings who have their eye on money only and not much of anything else. They are blinded by dollar signs of cashing the house in and I only hope and pray all the proceeds go to my mother’s care for Alzheimer’s disease which is a whopping four thousand dollars a month!I will be moving to Tucson in a few weeks and will be living a better quality life there but I will not forget her and will make frequent trips here to southern CA to see her, my many friends I have built over the last 40 years and the many places I will miss once I am gone.

I know how outgoing I am and how quickly I make friends and the places I am looking at are far better for me than here and the resources for disabled people are far greater than here. I am always open for POSITIVE CHANGE AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!

The Sea Speaks To Me In Words That Sound like Waves

The Sea Speaks to Me

In Words that sound like waves,

In the song of the sea gulls that fly over me and sing a sea song

In people who smile

In the surfers that never grow old

In the salt scented air that blows through my hair and kisses my face

And in the palm trees that line the coast

IN the sand left in my shoes…

And the lone shell that used to inhabit a sea creature that is now a memory….of the sea…and me

and my reverie…

Making me glad I am alive.

Believe in All That You Are-Poem by Leslie Neilson

As the dawn of each morning…

peers into your life,

there lies a path to follow.

Delicate whispers can be heard

if you listen to the sound of your heart

and the voice that speaks within you.

If you listen closely to your soul,

you will become aware of your dreams

that are yet to unfold.

You will discover that there lies within you

a voice of confidence and strength

that will prompt you to seek a journey

and live a dream.

Within the depths of your mind,

the purpose and direction of your life

can be determined by listening intently

to the knowledge that you already possess.

Your heart, mind, and soul

are the foundation

of your success and happiness.

In the still of each passing moment,

may you come to understand that

you are capable of reaching a higher destiny.

When you come to believe in all that you are

and all that you can become,

there will be no cause for doubt.

Believe in your heart, for it offers hope.

Believe in your mind for it offers direction.

Believe in your soul, for it offers strength.

But above all else…believe in yourself.

Hospitality Consists of……. (You fill in the blank)….

“Hospitality consists of a little fire, a little food, and an immense quiet.”-

Ralph Waldo Emerson

We all have a different opinion of what we think defines “hospitality”. To one it is solitude, as in Emerson’s mind’s eye. For me, hospitality is what I give others who come to my house, and what I hope they take away when they leave-great food, interesting conversation and fantastic memories.

I remember when I was married in my big nice 6 bedroom house at the winder time in Sandy, UT. Sitting around the fire place when it was snowing serving home made hot chocolate or spiced cider to my guests still evokes pleasant memories.

Pozole Party I had in October 2012

Pozole Party I had in October 2012

I love to have big parties and gatherings again in my new place I am going to-once I find it! It matters not the size of the group gathered around the table, but that you are there, It matters not what you share, but that you are sharing. Some of the meager loaves of bread and soup are grander feasts than the biggest buffets when served by genuine kind people that are giving the best they have to give.
