Life before cell phones: Do you remember a time when you looked into someone’s eyes when you spoke to them? Do you remember when you had a real up close, memorable, enjoyable conversation?

Turn your phone off and turn on and tune in to life! It’s not too late!

2 p.m.

When you’re over 50 years old as I admit I am, you become a walking piece of History.

I remember Walter Cronkite’s telecast on Channel 2 News on a black tube TV when I was a kid announcing the first lunar Landing.

I remember looking up things in the library system and using the Dewey Decimal System.

Are there any kids today that would know how to look something up in the library in the Dewey Decimal System?

If they had to do a research paper to get a Ph.d would they know how to do it? Or would they just sit there talking into Google all day?

Did you ever think that in the time that you told all your friends what you’re doing on Facebook you could have done something really cool instead?

When I was in high school I looked up things quite often in the Encyclopedia Britannica, and I always found the information I needed, with the help of some great, extraordinary Librarians with Master’s degrees in Library Science, rather than using my Vocal Search that I use daily on my Galaxy Note 4 phablet.

Technology has its place and the incredible technologies we possess enable to do things faster than we ever dreamed and information is accessed at a rate that is almost abnormal.

Instead of parents reading to their children, teaching them phonetics as my mom did me, and exposing them to reading books, and exposing them to new ideas and helping them become more well-rounded human beings, quite often a parent in 2018 will stick a smartphone in the kids hands at an unusually early age.

Unfortunately this doesn’t give any kind of bonding at all for the child and the parent gets an easy time out but the child is greatly deprived of the kind of attention that old-school parenting and reading and nurturing gives.

I see babies in strollers basically raised by apps or babysitters and not by the parent learning any kind of language skills whatsoever which is really sad and pathetic compared to what it used to be. The sad thing is the kind of talking I hear a lot of parents say is simply “shut up” so you wonder where the kid turns out to be a real loser later in life if he doesn’t have any positive role models to encourage him or her.

Watch what you say around children because they absorb it like a sponge and they will live up to your words.

Spend more time talking to your children and your family and really spending quality time with them. After all, they won’t be around forever.

Here’s the test to see if your addicted to the internet.

Remove Facebook and Twitter off your Smart device and free up all the space on it. Now watch how much time you just gave Yourself by doing that!

Just think about all the cool software you can put on your smartphone that does something really awesome with the 4GB Facebook takes for the app and the messenger.

Now ask your absolute best friends to share cell phone numbers with those friends that you called friends and see how many really share the number.

I was on Facebook 10 years and maybe a dozen gave me their cell phone number out of 1000!!!!

So in retrospect I was really wasting my time wasn’t I?

You want to have high quality friends even if it’s only 5 of them rather than 5,000 you don’t even know.

If you’re brave and courageous enough to remove those apps off your device and you don’t feel any kind of remorse or anything else once they’re off you probably weren’t addicted and it’s just something you did as a hobby.

If you noticed you feel anxious, and it kind of bugs you haven’t not having the networking sites there, go ahead and stick them back on.

Watch it though, Facebook and Twitter full of a lot of people doing a lot of nothing substantial that truly matters.

Give yourself a certain amount of time on them then happily walk away, and then get off of it and go do something else.

I call it be out with life in the living not behind a monitor or a cell phone

Make sure we don’t replace people with robots and take the very technology that we created to make our life as human beings easier and instead minimize human being’s ability to think, reason and to communicate in a normal way in the real world.

Do something wonderful that you’ve been wanting to do for a long time but you haven’t had the chance.

For every hour that you’re doing computer work get away from it for an hour or more.

Life’s too great to just simply look at computer screens.

There are a few simple guidelines I operate by in life and some of them are:

  1. Put Integrity and value first, no matter what anybody else does.
  2. If you’re in business don’t be afraid to turn jobs down that would undermine your integrity or would be beneath what you represent.
  3. Fine tune your game plan every day.
  4. Be a voracious reader and lifelong learner.
  5. If you wonder how some thing is done, do research and then find out how to do it. Then, if you really want to do something cool, show someone else how to do it afterwards. You might learn to do it so well that you are able to mentor someone else in the future!
  6. Spend time in nature or at a minimum sunshine everyday. If you don’t have sunshine and the weather is dismal or rainy, then put on nature sounds for listen to the rain outside your window. Open the window slightly so you can hear it. Nature sounds are calming because we’re connected to them.
  7. Exercise and spend time building your balance, stamina, and concentration through exercises like yoga and Tai Chi.
  8. Keep only quality people around you who represent your ideals and ethical beliefs.
  9. Try to make as many voice-to-voice phone calls as you possibly can instead of texting. You will find that you’re going to be building more quality relationships because you’re going to hear vocal intonation that you wouldn’t have heard otherwise. It’s a much more human, highly personal way to communicate too- the way we did things before cell phones were invented! Another Fringe benefit that will blend over into other areas of your life, is that you’ll have fewer distractions while you work on more important projects.
  10. The satisfaction from communicating in a more old school way and avoiding some of the new School Technology is incredible. It will make you feel more relaxed and less like a tech geek.
  11. Try to minimize multi-tasking, and instead focus on quality, quality and more quality. Work on one specific thing at a time and keep your concentration level high into the best that you’re able.

I already signed this existing petition which allows you to voice your opinion about how Trump is handling things as President.

It’s all done digitally and takes about 3 minutes to sign digitally.

1 million signatures are needed so share it everywhere if you feel strongly about Freedom, the Integrity of our people as American citizens, and want to see that our children grow up an environment where they look up to their elders and are not disgusted by them instead.

Give me long enough and I can usually find the answer to most anything.

I’m kind of like a white paper in writing, in that I try tout find the answer or solution in most every situation, finding positive solutions to problems or simply enhancing the quality of people’s personal and work lives.

Thanksgiving Every Day: Thankfulness is a Mindsetest and Way of Life

Me choosing scrumptious subtlety sweet Italian Lemon Cream Cake at Fellini’s Italian Restaurant at the Stratosphere by candlelight late at night

which is something I typically don’t do as I go to bed pretty early and get up pretty early, but something told me to just go out and enjoy my Thanksgiving the day before all the crowds blocked the freeway getting down to the strip today on Thanksgiving. So, since I took a nap and got extra sleep I was able to go out down to Roxy’s Diner where I have lots of friends who work there, and it’s always a wonderful time there and I had an open faced turkey sandwich, which was almost a Thanksgiving dinner! It was so big that I’m going to be in the leftovers today.

The photo that miraculously had enough power, even on power saver to make possible.

I didn’t take my usual three batteries for my Note 4, and didn’t really want to sit at Starbucks doing work like I usually do, OR carry a bunch of “junk” with me that weighs a ton, like I usually do. We all need balance in life and we need to  maximize every area of our life  be it personal , work, spiritual  and physical exercise too.
It’s good to do something out of the ordinary and be spontaneous once in awhile and communicate with people, not take an earpiece purposely, even if you like to listen to music on a playlist through the day or whatever, but just connect with life and the living.

I know I made everyone else’s Thanksgiving extraordinary that I went out of my way to communicate with in a totally genuine way, and every time I did that Joy  came back at me like I have a boomerang.

They hire people who are really wonderful and kind and go out of their way at The Stratosphere anyway. It was fun to go up to police officers, security guards, people who were traveling from other states, people who sat alone, and people who are doing heavy manual labor jobs and purposely wish them a very blessed Thanksgiving.

People who do that kind of work NEED KINDNESSS most of all because they do their job with smiles on their faces but quite often get lost in the shuffle of life.

It’s nice when one person looks their name tag and thinks enough of them to call them my name and let them know that they’re important. Things like that can make a difference in somebody’s life.

May you all have a most blessed Thanksgiving and carry the spirit of Thanksgiving with you every day throughout the year.

BLESS THE BEAUTIFUL UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Happy Flag Day 2017!

Photo created by Paulette L Motzko, Copyright June 2017 PLM Studios.

Wednesday June 14th 2017 at

Here’s a note about the sparking American flag I used in the photo here….

It is one of my grandmother’s cherished pins she used to wear. She was my mother’s mother and singlehandedly raised her children on her own due to my grandfather James Hubert Hart dying of spinal meningitis when my mother was four years old.

Mom said the day that she finally realized that she was alive was the day she overheard someone talking about who is getting all the kids, and what houses they were all going to because Grandma couldn’t afford to take care of them all herself.

Grandma wasn’t afraid to take a man’s job in a time when it was was very unpopular for a woman to rivet airplanes -but she did.

There wasn’t anything that could stop my grandmother Ruby Hart.

She was proud to be an American citizen and so appreciative of everything that you ever did for her— just like my mother.

That’s why when she had Alzheimer’s disease-like my mother had, untiL she touched the face of God nearly a year ago  I didn’t think anything of helping taking care of her.

I bought her big print Readers Digest books to encourage her to talk and keep her mind active…and they did.

She read one of them every day … so I bought more for her and she smiled as she read each story.

I found them at local libraries and we would talk about the stories in each story, which would inspire her to tell me about her life recalling memories of when she was younger.

I don’t have a digital image of Grandma-yet’ but I’ll create one for this story I didn’t know I was going to write, until writing the first sentence!

I know we have our trouble in America, but when you compare us to other countries- it’s pretty damn nice country anyway you look at it. We have precious  freedoms another country can match.

I didn’t say God Bless America because I wanted everyone no matter who they were to be able to relate to the image and the meaning behind image.

I’m Christian so I’ll always say God Bless America, but as an empowered lady I would love to see all of us all over the world worry less about religion & culture and focus more about just treating each other kindly and know everyone has a right to believe what they feel strongly about.

As long as they are not hurting you or anyone then let him believe it if they find solace and peace through it.

Uniting as living, breathing people who have the power to good-is my dream for not only America but for the world.

If I wrote my entire name, complete with my middle name, confirmation name, maiden name and then married name it would look something like this….

Paulette Ann Therese Le Pore Motzko.

I was confirmed in 2001 after reading prayers of my Nanny’s and seeing a St. Therese chaplet advertised in the church bulletin.

I sent for it and began saying the 24 Glory Be To The Father prayers, (one for each of the 24 years she lived), asking her to carry my intention’s to the Throne of God like a bouquet of sweet roses. Roses started appearing in places where no roses grew and always when I asked for something,  or the prayer would be answered.

That’s when I wanted to become confirmed, adding Therese to my name as a testimony to her influence in my life, which was very late for any Catholic.  I never cared about what any one else did,  but always stayed true to myself and genuine of heart. My Mother was my Sponsor with the Bishop. Those photos are stellar to look back on today.

Even if you’re not Catholic but Christian, Muslim, Jewish or any other faith; there is great merit to be gleaned in St. Therese’s wisdom-filled words.

Every Action Has a Chain Reaction in Life -Make Your Actions Great, Memorable and Lasting!

  • Make the things you’re involved with in life be positive chain reactions.
  •  Make people glad they know you.
  • Don’t be manipulative.
  • Don’t be a user.
  • Be a giver.
  • Don’t look for something every time you do something – good or positive for someone for no reason.
  • When you give someone a gift that’s what that means – it’s a gift. You’re not looking for something in return. If you are looking for something in return, then that means you are manipulative and you’re doing it because you expect something- and it’s not a gift it all is it?

Make your intentions genuine.

Be sincere.

Have integrity.

Have big picture ideas where you see the big picture of the entire world and much as the nose on your face.

Shoot for longevity in the projects you’re working on.

Genuinely try and help every client, as unique a’s they are.

When you open your mind and think of opportunities and what you can give, and ways you could help each client—great things happen.

Don’t compare ourself to what everyone else is doing. Think outside the box and think for yourself. Expand on your ideas.

If all you do is follow others, you could be following mediocrity! You want to be the one that leads the way to new, brighter Horizons!

Opportunities will arise that will appear as though if by Magic. I am a very spiritual, intuitive, Christian lady; I know that “magic” is GOD.

Blessings will surface effortlessly when you have your mind off the dollars you’re getting for the job. Instead, focus on building lasting relationships and building in creating extraordinary projects that lead to recurring work and passive income.

Life is way more than quick payoffs.

Success isn’t measured by how much money you have in the bank but rather what kind of human being you are and what your value system is. You can make good money and add value to other people’s lives and enjoy doing it. All those things are possible for you and I. You have to give it all some serious thought though, with no distractions.

Everything you do in life builds your reputation, and from your soul, your mind and attitude, your heart and your brain- your reputation will follow you the rest of your life and each positive, proactive action carves your reputation.

Do good.

Do great.

Do exemplary things.

Don’t be afraid of hard work because there is a huge payoff that will help more than you awaiting you.

When $65,000 a year for a drug is applauded : Pharmaceutical Prices & A Disabled Person’s Right To Live in Dignity with All Needs Met

When $65,000 a year for a drug is applauded

http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/03/health/prescription-drug-prices-public-opinion/index.html

Paulette Le Pore Motzko’s Note to Pharmaceutical Companies on Placing People First and Nevada’s Unfair Treatment of People with Epilepsy, Civil Rights & Disabilities

I wish more pharmaceutical companies had more or a “Triple Win Attitude”: I Win, You Win & Society Wins. Huge multi million dollar companies need to keep ever present the real, flesh and blood people they are developing the drug to help.

They simply can function effectively as a business and still charge less  for the consumer.

For instance, my medicine for epilepsy called Vimpat that I take is $20 a pill made by UCB. It cost nearly $2,300 a month along with my Tegretol that I take for a complex partial epilepsy. I have Nevada Medicaid and am on SSI, which allows you to make money and collect it, and pays less than SSDI-full disability.  (it also took two and a half years to win with the aid of a social security disability lawyer  too and I had to say goodbye to my alimony from the rocket scientist I was married to for 15 years to get that crappy $728 but my medical is covered.

Yet after stating all those facts, the state of Nevada doesn’t think anyone who was diagnosed with epilepsy has a medical conditiom or termed disabled, even though the director at the DMV told me I will automatically get a disabled placard when I update my Nevada state ID.

(I’m still trying to obtain a certified copy of my old marriage license to prove I’m Paulette Le Pore Motzko. That’s a $65 stupid document is so outrageous it is unbelievable. I’ve been divorced from him since 2001 and my name was legally changed in Garden Grove, California in 1986, when I got married.  I’m going to go talk to one of my friends who is a librarian and see if she can get me the silly document free because $65 is a lot of money to prove I’m who I am! I’ve been trying to get that document 3 times now and it is difficult since my CA ID expired on my birthday last August.

Nevada needs to spend more time educating their political leaders about things like crimehuman dignity, the pedestrian fatality rate and placing penalties on drunk drivers and their educating RTC and people who are public servants about various disabilities, NAMELY neurological ones like EPILEPSY. That would use everybody’s time in an effort worth expending time on.

This may be Nevada and it may have the worst weather in the United States, and 60 mile an hour-knock you on your ass dust storms, high fraud rates,  allergies that wont quit due to blowing dust, and vapes and casinos on every corner with few nonsmoking areas other than Starbucks.

But Nevada is still only one state in the USA it still is the United States of America. And as far as I’m concerned as far as I know, in the USA, we all have certain basic rights.

One of those rights is to be treated fairly. Denying people with epilepsy the right to use Paratransit and having the head Federal representative not know what epilepsy even is is a crime.

That should be against the law and it probably is.

After after the grand negligence that happened to me regarding Paratransit  and the callousness and apathy on behalf of Senator Harry Reid’s office is disgusting.

It doesn’t reflect great kindly on him.  The irony is Harry Reid can barely see and uses Paratransit himself, so you think he’d be the first understand the meaning of a doctor’s letter when a doctor writes for a patient to take a medication and says you need it to live, which mine has done since age 9.

You think he would understand as well as the governor,  how important it is to look after the safety of people with epilepsy and not allow them to be injured. I was.

I was talking to Harry Reid about raising the cost of living index to $1200 a month for all people on SSI and SSDI.

I still have pictures of the first place I lived in when I first moved here.  That horrid $728 a month buys nothing  in terms of living quality and your standard of life. All you have to do is  think and care and be a responsible person realize that along with all inflation and elevated prices going up, the cost of living index for all disabled people  hasn’t been raised in over 20 years.

SSI is $200 less than what California has per month. Who created an SSI (supplementary Social Security) of $728 anyway? A monkey with an abacus?  Everything needs to be updated  to reflect 2017 prices. Make the minimum BE $1000 for God’s sake! Round it up. Turn the insulting, impoverished amount in to something a human being can really spend, not just make due in the real world. $1200 is actually usable and workable  for the average person.

Anybody who thinks that SSI and SSDI checks are handed on a platter they are not you are sadly mistaken.

Lawyer Bill LaTour won my case in Southern California and I can’t count all of the doctors I went to and specialists and career counselors and all the questions I had to answer and psychological assessments in order to finally present my case. Most who are disabled would rather be working. In the final hearing all of the doctors and the career counselor appeared in a small courtroom and they’re the judge asked me what my name was and after about 5 minutes he reviewed all the evidence presented by every one of the doctors that I had to see you over the course of a year and a half before he finally awarded me ssi. That took a mere five minutes and those were the only words that I other than that.

You can’t sue the government but you can sue people who work for the government.  And one by one I will if I don’t get my Paratransit FOR MYSELF AND SET A PRECIDENT FOR ALL WHO HAVE EPILEPSY IN THE STATE OF NEVADA.

After all, I’m the former President and founder of The Epilepsy Connection which was a grassroots organization in Orange County, California  that helped countless people in California and many other states, and three other countries who had no other resources whatsoever. I’m also the former director of the Epilepsy Foundation sub affiliate in Garden Grove, California years ago.

In other words, I am a catalyst for positive change and I hope to  merge forces with other disabled people making us stronger as a united team.

I’ve got arthritis in that left ankle that won’t go away, just as my dad was  just about paralyzed in a wheelchair from osteoarthritis  before he died several years ago.

After having a drop seizure- due to being out in 115 degree heat when I shouldn’t have been.  That because I was having problems but two idiot’s went against my epileptologist’s letter stating that. I think that’s a crime isn’t it?

DAN HOWLAND AND JIM CHAMPOU, THE IDIOTS WHO DIDNT VALIDATE THAT DOCTOR’S LETTER AND THOUGHT DR. EVANGALISTA WROTE IT FOR THE FUN OF IT, INSTEAD TO PREVENT INJURY TO ME.

Maybe no lawyer in Nevada has wanted to take my case YET, IT IS A crime AND A  double crime since Dan Howell and told me he didn’t care about people with epilepsy to my face  and he said he didn’t care about learning about anything to do with them he liked being ignorant. After everything  hits the fan and people pay the price they should have paid a couple years ago but I wasn’t any kind of health condition  to be able  to press charges, I hope he’s fired  and not only that I hope charges are filed on him  for endangerment and that is endangering me.

I believe the max I can do is $10,000  in the state of Nevada for him personally and  also Jim shampoo $10,000 and also Tina Quigley, the head of RTC , who all she could say during our phone conversation was “uh huh” after I said anything.  In other words, she did nothing and could have been forced my Paratransit ID once suck it but she did not. That’s another $10,000.

They put my life at risk because I was having drop seizures of time and that was written in the letter so that’s called personal injury and I with all the evidence that I can bring which is a hell of a lot of it I call it instant win.

It is the principle here. I am hoping I won’t need to and they will come to their senses. Maybe the  Governor can hear the whole sordid story and make it right trade she seemed like the most level-headed person in the most articulate intelligent person I’ve seen hold office in Nevada so far.

I think Nevada has some disabled Senators who have disabled minds and need to greatly educate themselves about what all this abilities are an update themselves with 2017.

Civil rights and then do the educate themselves on disabilities that go far beyond physical ones in a wheelchair.

The statistics on disability is there are more people with invisible disabilities like epilepsy than those with more visible ones.

California was better with Paratransit by far.  I had Paratransit in California over 25 years and I come to the 1800’s Wild West High Desert of Nevada and here they turn me down. I called Paratransit once waiting 2 hours and after the two hours the lady said, ” oh didn’t you know? Just because you call Paratransit doesn’t mean it’ll show up!”

Ignorance again.

You shouldn’t be a leader in the state if you are igorant in the ways I have seen. Dina Titus, Head of Transportation had no desire to help me get what I was owed as a disabled American citizen.

Nevada Medicaid pays for my medicine now and I hope it always does because it’s the best combination I have ever been on in my now 55 years young.

Even all that being said Senator Reid doesn’t think I have a disability-isn’the that rediculous?

I even sent Senator Reid pictures of my medicine and all the vitamins that I take and the doctor’s letter from my specialist who prescribes my medicine and the copy of my medical ID bracelet and he still didn’t think that I was disabled!

Living in Nevada is like living in the wild west where they think they can do anything. The American with Disabilities Act is something that I know all about  and because I was turned down for Paratransit here I could sue every senator in the entire State and when  because my civil rights were violated and I broke my left ankle as a result of having a drop seizure a year ago and was nearly in power chair after! Was I disabled enough for you then Nevada  huh 7 read  the governor ? Is that what you want to but everybody Wheelchairs and that’s the only kind of stability you think exist in this world ? Wake up  you need to get your head examined and go look at the medical book and read it all of this abilities that exist in this world there quite a lot of them  we have a lot of components to our bodies not just a physical body  without your neurological system you’re nothing you can’t write you can’t speak you can’t do anything.

I now have arthritis in that left ankle, which makes might a personal injury case that I didn’t want come into the state I just wanted a place to live it was cheap that’s it I didn’t come here for the gambling  I don’t drink I don’t smoke I don’t do drugs and I don’t gamble why did I come here for cheap rent that’s it hat’s part of living in Nevada is not something I like but it’s also against my civil rights too.

I’ll be talking to the governor of Nevada this year about all of those issues as well as others that affect everyone or just same old and about raising the cost of living index for all people who are disabled to something that allows them to live in dignity, which the $728 a month does not.

I want to see that all people can afford tm what they need to keep them alive.

Hear that pharmaceutical companies?

Remember the human element.

Remember why you’re developing the medicine in the first place.

What good  is a fantastic medicine with a high efficiency rate and the low side effect rate and a huge success rate if the patients cannot afford it? I’m asking you that question mark I was made a rocket scientist for 15 years and I’m fairly bright that’s not even logical is it to make the price outlandish.

If drugs are so outrageously priced limiting who can take them, it defeats the purpose why the drug was ever created.

I wish the scientist who developed the drugs could price the drugs because then they would be priced at something reasonable that makes sense.

Because people who are scientists creating these compounds to help people would never charge people outrageous prices because they’re more humanitarian in spirit than the simply sales reps promoting the products getting huge commissions driving company cars!

Let the pharmacology medicine developers help set a price that is more accurate.

I saw pharmaceutical reps every time I went into one of my neurology offices in Orange off La Veta when I was married years ago.  I think what they do should be against the law because they’re giving doctors Kickbacks to promote drugs. because of that, doctors are  not looking at to the best needs of the patient. The Pharmaceutical reps  are allowed to  dangle money in front of a doctor’s faces and saying over here I’ll give you this money -a bribe.

How in the hell can a good doctor think straight  with the ” Wheeler Dealers” walking around dangling incentives.

Pharmaceutical companies remind me of real estate companies in California. Everybody is so greedy that they have to make “over profit” aking for way more than is affordable for most everyone except millionaires.

Medicine companies: Remember the people FIRST. Without people in this world you have nothing. Nothing but dust and a bunch of chemicals a test tube that people NEED.

The purpose of life is undoubtedly to know oneself. We cannot do it unless we learn to identify ourselves with all that lives. The sum total of that life is God. Your Epilepsy News Resource

http://paper.li/PollyMotzko/1356861050#/

More people have epilepsy than you are aware. Many people you know have it but they just wanted to tell you later, for fear that you won’t be their friend or something.

All you need is a blow on the head, high fever, convulsions, severe enough infection or a coma and you could acquire it. I had all those things and nearly died before my second birthday.

In other words, everyone is susceptible epilepsy under the right circumstances.

I was diagnosed with complex partial epilepsy when I was 9 years old, but I had simple partial seizures when I was four but didn’t know how to describe them. Many seizures are difficult to describe, because they don’t feel like pain, but rather a sensation.

I will always be a spokesperson for those who have the disorder and care about those who disabled because of my experiences as now a mature young minded senior of 55.

I hope to make this newsletter make money (monetize it) this year and work with CURE Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy to use their 501C3 tax status and accept private nations from people and foundations and companies giving them banner ads.

Say prayers all this, with my tenacity becomes a reality.  I have how do you touch bases with someone in marketing from cure already and so the wheels are turning in a very positive direction.

Paulette Le Pore Motzko is the creator and editor of Your Epilepsy Resource Guide and in the past the founder of  The Epilepsy Connection which was a grass roots organization in Orange County in the late 1990’s and former Director of the sub- affiliate in Orange County, California of the Epilepsy Foundation.

Stages of Our Lives Pass Like Changing Seasons by Paulette Le Pore Motzko New Version

Above images created by Paulette Le Pore Motzko, Copyright 2016

Written by Paulette Le Pore Motzko.

Copyright February 2017

I accidentally erased the link that was on here going to a blog post called “Stages of Change”, and prior to finding the blog post in the wee hours this morning, I had the idea to write this.

I thought the entire story would be written in an hour or by about 3 p.m. now yesterday afternoon, Las Vegas, NV time. It’s 4:00 a.m. February 28th,  2017 and with a Pentatonix Concert on Neflix playing,  I have been embellishing the post with more images that I feel tell part of the story too and modifying what I wrote.

I hope you will enjoy it. Yesterday was my day to “Get Absorbed in The News Day” writing commentaries. I am an empath in many ways, and can only handle hearing about the news of the world every few days. I would never get anything done if I did otherwise. All I have to do is run into one god-forsaken story about Trump, who’s Triple loser in my book, especially after hearing he made fun of a disabled person. Anyone that would make fun of any kind of disabled person is a pathetic human being. Trump’s animalistic, racist and self demeaning behavior boggles my mind. Yes,  I know he tries to demean other people but all he succeeds and doing it’s just lowers himself to increasing new levels of mediocrity.  I want him impeached to preserve the integrity of the United States as an American citizen. He simply makes us look bad in the eyes of other nations.

Enough of my political view points, that were not in the original post,  but I don’t stand alone in my feelings.

One of my golden rules in life is to be genuine and totally authentic. People respect that. When it comes to followers and buying followers  I don’t . All mine are real and represent real, living, breathing , wonderful people  who I have impressed somehow, or I’ve inspired, or empowered, made laugh, entertained,  or they look forward to something that I write, my original images,  or they like just me in general and my persona. My followers are real people who follow me  because I am REAL and put on no pretenses. Anything other than that is just fake in my book, and I’m working on two books currently.

I get asked all the time you want to buy some followers they say why? I have my own real ones from hard work  writing what I feel is good content. I think any industry they call that  organic. As a writer I call it smart because it’s how I know what people LIKE. IF everything is fake and contrived, it doesn’t reflect anything real but it’s just a mere illusion of popularity

When ever I see Trump’s face, one word comes to mind- impeachment. I sincerely hope that happens so the disasters and hate crimes nationwide he instigated can end. The United States needs to think of our progress rather than regression. I wish Trump wasn’t really and instead a really bad nightmare ,  nut we all wake up and he’s still there unfortunately!
Like many of my stories, posts and pictures; they are going through a creative evolutionary process, contantly changing or improving, like their creator me! We all change everyday just a little bit, even though we can’t see the changes, we still do. The great thing about that is it we all have a say in how we change,  and in what ways we change. You just have to want to change then catapult your want with action to make it a reality.

Above photo taken by my friend Martha the general manager of The Canonita-Mexico City Soul Food. Photo editing by Paulette Motzko.

Just like the seasons are now changing from winter to spring, this article is changing with every word I write.

I hope the finished product has you look at not only me in a new way, but life in general in a new way and directs you to a newfound realization of the power you possess in it.

Embrace change. It us the only constant in life.  Those who do the best in life ADAPT.

Much like a surfer on a surfboard riding the wave, those that master the “Art of Living”, ride the wave called LIFE. We can learn from the quick reflexes of the surfer, adjusting what we do in correlation to what’s the way  was coming our way.

When I was younger I hadn’t discovered my full potential yet and didn’t see the world from a big picture vantage point yet. That was to be uncovered and made visible over time. I was a very sick, misunderstood kid that grew up in the 60’s, at a time before the time “bullying” was invented or before people cared to do something about it at least.

My nanny came to live with us when I was nine, the same age I was diagnosed with epilepsy. The piano she brought with her would soon become my best friend. It took until high school at 14 to be invented for me to know what size your freedom was.  Until the time kids were just too mean spirited stupid to ever give me a chance as human being, let alone as a friend.  I wrote music on that Henry Ford. Miller piano and read lots of cookbooks and passed the time figuring out what I was going to make and cook, analyzing recipes as though it were a novel envisioning  what I’d make  when I grew up and the parties that I would have and how awesome it would be…….

Every day pray and meditate as your 1st thing in the day.  Connect with your Omnipotent Power of the Universe asking for Wisdom and Guidance. I AM CHISTIAN BAPTIZED CATHOLIC, BUT I AM SPIRITUAL IN NATURE. No matter what your faith, place that part of you first and you cannot be steered wrong.

Light an aromatherapy candle and find out how you can tap into what’s inside your SOUL.

I have always found lighting a candle is a way to connect to a hidden, very special light planted in my soul.

Chances are, if you try it, you will discover it too.

Before you know it, when you start connecting with your Spiritual Source, you’ll find a light that you can protect outward at the world, and the world will be brighter as result of it. If your light shines brilliantly it’s own special way, the light will never go away as long as the World Turns. If you bring something to the world nobody has ever seen before that has great merit,  you’ll be memorable enough that your memory and good you did will “shine” like the aurora borealis.

The older I get the more I focus on the good I can give rather than what I can get and options and opportunities open like flowers in the Spring.

Remember:  “With a pen,  paper and an idea, I have the world!”

Writing is a way you can connect with your innermost self, your hopes and dreams unfurl as you hold that pen in your hand, or as you type. Whichever method helps you connect better and be more prolific, do it!

Life is a balancing act composed of spiritual time, personal time, work time, leisure time and whatever other classifications you when to add.

Take time to do self-introspection so you can see how far you’ve come and how far you’ve gone to appreciate Where You Are now.

Mentor others  so you can help others carry the torch and do things easier than you once did.
Donate your time then to philanthropic things to give back to the world and it will give you more back than you ever dreamed.
Make the most of where you are now. Use the tools you have now, they don’t have to be the best tools but they’re the tools we can afford and use them maximize them and save up for whatever equipment you need to do your job well.
Don’t take the first no for an answer you hear. If you’re not getting what you want with your company go to the corporate level and I guarantee you’ll get what you want.

Do you live in a big city like I do? Share what it looks like at this Winter wonderland time of year in words.

Do you live in the country away from the hustle and bustle of city lights, where it’s quiet enough to hear crickets chirp at night?

Share what your holiday looks like and feels like seeing  through your unique eyes.

If you make your words picturesque enough you won’t need photos and instead will allow the readers to use that great, underused thing called “their imaginations.”

Totally Inspired Mind: Where Positive Minds Congregate

I was trying to put into words the term for when you do something just because it is right but not because it EASY or THE STATUS QUO.  A fellow writer and blogger friend of mine called it “moral courage” the other day.

We are all connected on this big, water covered planet we call earth. There is only one of them, so if we mess it up or the people who inhabit it, we never have a chance to go back and fix it. Life on earth as we know it is a “one shot deal” so we better get it right the first time and quit living as though everything is expendable.

    image

We have a throwaway society anymore and people and the apathy towards people in general has gone along with the trash we throw away. It shouldn’t be and I am not saying that all people are apathetic, because of course they are not. There are just many who could do far more than they do for others they meet in everyday life.

Once the water systems are polluted, what do we do?

    image

Just these thoughts are good ones to ponder in terms of how we should be making sure there are no oil spills killing our fish and wildlife and ruining the water.

    image

Human beings have a lot in common with the earth in that they are both mostly composed of water. Without it, all life ceases to be.

What about bombs and the warfare, chemical or otherwise? Since I was married to a rocket scientist and he was the master of logic and science; since we were married for fifteen years, I chose to take with me the best of what I learned and the best of our memories together. Why throw a bomb that will kill thousands of innocent women, children, and ruin the land around it, making it impossible to plant anything-just to wipe out that one “target”? It isn’t logical to me.

    image

    image

    image

Why not find and train more people who speak the languages of the countries we are fighting right now, or at least have our military people in like Afghanistan and Syria?

Try something you haven’t tried before.

Success models are made up of prototypes that worked. Once you know the model, you can strive to create one that works as well or supersedes it.

How about our budget that the so-called great leaders in the United States of America have concocted?

    Above wallpaper image from Zedge.

There has not been any trace of anyone from the two Bush’s to Reagan who has ever tried to come up with a budget that would start paying off the debt already incurred. Obama keeps spending and China owns more of America. It’s like a dirty American secret that nobody wants to take accountability for.

Will our next president of the United States make sure the priorities are in the right places? I certainly hope so, but rather than seeing human beings who invented great leadership skills, I see Trump as an overgrown brat who tragically never grew up. I see Clinton with major trust issues going in the office, after breaching national securiy. Wish you did with a lot more than just sharing emails! People lost lives because of those emails and that cannot be overstated.

I haven’t sat through one debate becauase it is not one by true definition.  A debate is where people are asked intelligent, hard-hitting questions and they answer them , and an intelligent  fashion .  Trump  and Clinton are good at insulting each other and name calling and badgering. I had little tolerance for badgering in elementary school and I have absolutely zero tolerance for that kind of behavior now.

Is there some kind of moral conduct and we can demand that of our presidential candidates?
It’s almost as though you need a referee make in a boxing match.

‘ve never seen a time in our political history where we’ve needed in an actual referee like it’s a boxing match verses to great minds talking about what they would each do. We never had that in the election from the get-go

I am not sure what kind of actual good they can accomplish, since they are not showing the best of who they are when that is exactly what they should be doing!

This is idiocy and being that I was born and raised in The United States and never want to see the day when China owns America.

What is going on is a vicious cycle of stupidity, borrowing on China’s credit and we are looking the fool in the eyes of other countries.

Before I get on a this one topic alone, that infuriates me at the stupidity and complete lack of responsibility on the parts of all who work for the government for not prioritizing paying the debt of the USA.

I hope I see the day when a budget is created and adhered to. I hope I see the day when we have a new president who has one known social security number, and stands for things that benefit Americans instead of big businesses.

I hope I see the day when you can get a job in America without having to know Vietnamese or Spanish, when it is America you are trying to get the job and not Vietnam or Mexico.

    image

I hope I see the day when people try to be more kind and tolerant of each other’s differences.
Movie makers, producers and directors put positive and empowering messages out there instead coming up with a crime show give goofballs and psychos ideas to blow things up and kill people in movie theaters. Values can and could dictate our society, if we all wanted that badly enough.

I hope I see the day when our president realizes that every action has a chain reaction be it a bomb, something that is not needed that tax payer’s end up paying for. China is buying more of America up every day as the imaginary credit card is used.

They print up so much “play money” that I don’t think they understand in the real world, for you and I and everyone else, we all have to pay our debts. Why isn’t the White House and those who write the checks accountable as we are?

Breaking laws to fit personal agendas doesn’t make me proud of the current leadership. Can’t we as Americans demand to see how the money is spent? They are working for the American people and are supposed to be our ambassadors.

    image

What are your major concerns for our country? What would you like to see happen in the next year in America?

Please Mr. President Obama, well you’re still president- open your eyes, wake up and be accountable for what you spend regarding our country.

Students arming Syrian terrorist and creating Isis why don’t you look at all the veterans who have no homes?

What did you think of raising the cost of living index for all people who are disabled on SSI and SSDI?

Why don’t you see that every American in every state can live in dignity and peace and have all their Corporal needs met before you think of taking money we don’t have and giving it to other countries?
NOW is a good time to create and adhere to a workable budget, not just hype.

Start caring and acting responsibly and care about America being owned my Americans and how we take care of it now is the gift we will hand down to our children.

Caroline Myss says : “We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds – the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts of other people. They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise.”

Relaxing Background Guitar Music & How Creating An Inspiring Environment by Paulette Motzko

I love this beautiful acoustic guitar play list.

If you are a creative person just like I am, the key is to find out to flowing inspiration is to know in an intimate way what environment helps you create the best in yourself.

Keep repeating it over and over again. What works for you will be different than anyone else.

    Things that inspire me are…

Beautiful natural surroundings are beautiful places

    The Pacific Ocean

    Majestic mountains

    Enchanted Forest’s

Inspiring workplaces that are conducive to concentration

Special music playlist and help bring out the best in your artwork. This could be writing, this could be photography, this could be cooking or painting or some other art form.

The special place that everytime you go there you meet someone extraordinary. I have several places like that and I don’t even question what happens I just know it happens. Will meet someone who is absolutely extraordinary every time I go to this certain location. If you pay attention you’ll find then you can maximize the positives in your world. Just pay attention and follow your instincts and usually always steered in the right direction.

And lastly I do a lot of meditation everyday I’m prayer and centering thought hoping to create something I feel give something back to the universe, and will last long after I touched the face of God.

Sharing Stellar Ideas Like  Monarch Butterflies Flying From My Hands to The World by Paulette L Motzko

This all began with me sharing a beautiful Chinese Proverb late in the day and having Jennie Fitzkee, who is a teacher, writer and blogger and wonderful human being comment on how wonderful it was can I share the proverb. See it said that through me  I made the proverb brand new again.

And I told her that I had never heard it before so for me it was brand new.

From there I tried to put into words what inspiration is to me. And,  for the first time I was able to actually define it in a way that accurately fits what I envision it to be.

I asked Jennie to email exactly what I wrote in my reply to her, and she did. Somehow when I replied to her on the WordPress Web platform,  my response was completely not visible to me, and they always are.

“Jennie, I had never heard it so for me it was sparkling brand new.  It is just so gratifying when I share something I know is meaningful here.  I have a photographic memory and am a visionary kind of person.  I picture me gently holding a monarch butterfly in my hand and seeing the beauty of it all…then letting it go free to shine it’s beautiful splendor on the world.  The audience of Totally Inspired Mind are like flowers in a garden, each unique in their own way, none more pretty than the next.

When I get an idea I think is along the lines of good or great or empowering, the idea transforms into that “butterfly” that I briefly hold in my hands, admiring it, only to let it go free in hopes it will touch other’s lives to spread joy to them too.

Jennie inspired me to write that, what I called on a new Board on Pinterest I created today called “Divine Inspiration”….

People can be a catalyst for incredible ideas and collaboration that would never have been had the two people met. I would have never believed that when I got the idea for Totally Inspired Mind: Where Positive Minds Congregate from a hotel room Huntington Beach after I realized I could no longer take care of my mother who had very acute Alzheimer’s disease. Mom required a 24 hour staff  instead of me. And the most liberating thing was realizing that and being blatantly honest with those realities.

I began focusing on only myself and putting myself number one, which was strange at first. I was giving everything I possessed as a human being with nothing coming back my way, and I had to quit before the flame was extinguished. The flame bein me.

Too many caregivers give so much of themselves there remains only a whisp of who they originally were before, with almost nothing left for themselves. That is all too common in the world.

I had the idea for this site but just never had a free moment to be able to think or concentrate on anything for longer than 5 minutes. I am not complaing, those were just the realities of helping my dear mother Ramona, now in heaven–I am glad I was there for here because she needed me, and this time’s with her are precious memories that will play back for all time with a smile on my face.

I wouldn’t ever have believed what began as my brain child where I could envision the greatest, most kind, big picture thinking people all getting together….and meeting one another….around a table set around the world.

It transformed from my vision to  a website to immediate skyrocket of passionate, Triple Winning people who instantly embraced my idea and loved it.

The amount of effort that I’ve expended into it has comeback a thousandfold. It transformed from a caterpillar of an idea and through a kind of time-lapse metamorphosis, became a living, breathing wonderful entity. ….a very human thing because it is composed of imput and comments from all if you-my fabulous readers!

When I get an idea I think is along the lines of good or great or empowering it the idea transforms into that butterfly that I briefly hold in my hands, admiring it, only to let it go free in hopes it will touch other’s lives to spread joy to them too.  I have never been able to write that before Jennie.  You inspire me.  God bless you.”

One aspect of your life may be bad, but all your ingredients are not in.

“One aspect of your life may be bad, but all your ingredients are not in. Remember, a little baking soda can make a huge difference in a cookie recipe. Just a little break, just one person, just one idea, just one touch of God’s favor can turn the bitter into the sweet, sorrow into Joy, the mourning into dancing.”

-Joel Osteen from his phenomenal book- It’s Your Time.

    image

Last night, before I went to bed I picked up Joel Osteen’s book in large print edition called it’s your time I got it from the library.

I absolutely love the title on it and under the title was printed “Activate Your Faith, Achieve Your Dreams and Increase God’s Favor Now. That’s before I even knew about his book called “I Declare” which I discovred from some pins on Pinterest.
I would recommend getting both of them. His metaphors are fresh and inventive and creative and it’s just exactly what I needed and was “the missing ingredient” if you will, and the “recipe” for my life of this week after losing my mother on the 5th.

It’s wonderful how he says “it’s not one isolated event that determines your destiny. All the ingredients arent in in yet, comparing our lives to a recipe with different experiences as the ingredients.

We have different experiences we go through in life that make the complete picture.

So sometimes, the best ingredients, like it’s in a chocolate chips in a chocolate chip cookie recipe are saved for last.

I know it’s very difficult for me at this time because I haven’t even gone to the funeral yet for mom, and another that put both their ashes together in a military cemetary. I will get through it and I will not be alone.

And I know that it sure as the chapter closes of my mother’s sweet, wonderful, forever misses life, other chapters are opening on my life that will take me in new, positive directions…but it is hard now.

God bless all who read my words all over the world! .

My Mother is Dying But Her Spirit Lives Through Me

I was a caregiver for my sweet mother Ramona Lea Le Pore who on the last decade of her life was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

My sister in law contacted me to yell me mom has a tumor on her kidney and is now dying.
I knew the time would come when mom would leave this earth and touch the face of God, being reunited with dad in heaven, but I wasn’t prepared for so sudden of tragic news.

    image

    image

In my old kitchen drinking tea with mom after making dinner

    image

As long as I am alive, mom’s name will be in the prefaces of the books I will write, and so many creative things my mother helped show me how to do by believing in me: piano playing, cooking, poetry, lyric writing and singing.

She was my cheerleader, my best friend, my confidant and encouraged my creativity. I miss hearing her voice and laughter.
She was the most appreciative person I ever knew or will know.
That’s why it was a joy to do anything for her like cook her favorite meal.

    image

Mom and I in the 16 x 20 photo to the right on my desk last Christmas 2015.

Little would I know that the photo I created to immortalize a stellar moment in time would be the only vestige of my mother to keep me going. With no ability to make phone calls or talk to her the photo was and is all I have.

    image

Mom and dad when dad was in The Air Force

    image

I had been thinking of mom all week and just feeling something strange like an inner voice telling me mom might not have much longer to live. This morning I looked up at the 16 x 20 mural I had made of mom and I happy in Huntington Beach, CA and am happy I immortalized the moment.

    image

Mom sitting across from me happy on a beautiful southern California day at Ruby’s Diner.

    image

Mom from the time I was 4 years old read to me and taught me phonetics, opening my eyes to wider worlds. She was a visionary before that word was popular.

    image

Mom taught me to see the beauty in the simple pleasures of life….in flowers, nature and taught me to cherish people and take care of the things you own-and in that order of priority.

Mom loved being useful and when she cared about you, she would go to the ends of the earth to make you happy. If you complimented something she might give it to you!

    image

    image

    image

The photo I took from the wall that was cut from a 16 x 20 that survived a fire. Much like my mother, the photo was resilient and a survivor.

This photo that’s on my upright grand piano and a crucifix that belonged to Nanny my grandmother are all I took when I was told “take what you want from mom’s stuff.”

Mom was alive but with Alzheimer’s disease and if she didn’t put it in my hand I wasn’t going to take it. I wanted to be remembered for what I gave her instead of what I took from her.

Hearing the birds singing their morning song at 4:46 a.m. I am going to wrap this up by saying hug those around you who you care about. Live life so you have no regrets and give more than you take. I sincerely tried to do just that with my mother but I will miss her terribly. Her smile was like the sun to me.

Please pray for my mother and family and I. Thank you.

I didn’t get her name-( because I have my Galaxy Note 4 plugged into Bluetooth speaker and I’m usually listening to the believe Life channel on doing something else listening and I don’t necessarily see the captions into the speakers that are that are announced on it but it allows me to do things that otherwise would have been boring or I might put up and then I can listen to it while I’m doing before you know it the tour gets done or the thing gets done but I can be empowered while I’m doing it patterns mundane things throughout the day or travel time into something that’s empowering. But I will go back and try to find out who the person was that said this. She said to everyday write down 40 things that you.)

I ask you my extraordinary followers to also describe in one word What You Are.

You can add as many one word positive descriptions as you like but have them be positive. Give some thought on this and pick words that you think about who you are and what your about.

“Jim Carrey’s Top 10 Rules For Success” & P. Motzko’s Commentary-From Vision to Living The Dream

” Jim Carrey is a Visionary and uses very empowering visualisations to have propelled himself from being homeless – but with very detailed dreams and goals of what he wanted his life to be- to living his dreams and a success story.

He now speaks in front of large groups of people at universities giving them advice on how to live, and telling them what he’s learned.
After you finish speaking he makes people feel like they can do anything- and with the right mindset you can.

You know you’re a leader and you know you’re doing something right when you can show others new ways of thinking and show them that they possessed inside what they sought all along.

I know as a piano teacher, I know a student will do well just because they have music inside their soul; it’s like its hard-wired in their system. I already know the students going to be successful before I even start teaching them.

Google Talk The Global Translation Chat App & & Paulette Motzko’s Thrill of Discovery

I learn many things new through the course of my day everyday. I have always had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, even since I was a small child at 4 years old, learning to read, and then learning phonetics. I learned the meanings of the prefixes and suffixes when I was 6 years old.
I learned the value of a book and the extraordinary concepts within each cover, and libraries became one of my favorite places, and still are.

    image

Hot off the press I just created this image to go with this story from a photo I took in Vista, CA about three years ago now.

Photography & Digital Arts by Paulette Motzko

There was never a dumb question around our house and every night around the kitchen table, before we would eat dinner we would bless the food, thank God for everything we had, and look at each other and thank God we had each other. How I wish it was that way today. But people change and so you change with it.

My dad would ask everyone what we learned that day. He would go one by one, and ask each one of us who’s the most extraordinary thing we learned that day. If we didn’t learn anything he would say “go pick up a book” or “how are you doing in school” and things like that.

Every night at dinner time we would sit around our table and we would share what we had learned that day.

Yes, how I wish life was like a projector that you could go back in time and make my siblings remember when they had a heart and soul, but that’s not how life works. Change is the only thing we can count on and those who adapt the best do the best.

Yes, we sat around with a painted picnic table that was painted by my mother and communicated with each other, laughed, my brothers told jokes, and we were there in the moment.

Our family couldn’t afford a kitchen table like the kind they sold in a furniture store, but being the industrious people that the Le Pores are, my dad bought a picnic table that my mother painted white.

As always mom had this way of creating something out of nothing, and when she was done, the table was painted and varnished and had a really pretty flower arrangement on the top of it.

She then bought some yellow gingham sheets that she found on sale, and transformed them into beautiful drapes for our huge kitchen windows.

25 years later, after my parents sold that first house they bought for a mere $20,000 and sold it for $100,000 years later, those drapes are still there. People did not want to take them down and loved them and bragged about how beautiful they were. It was my secret, that they’ll never know they were made out of sheets.

These remain to this day some of the most Stellar memories I have of my childhood.

My Nanny always told us a family who prays together stays together. It’s something she swore by. It was imprinted on the Rosary she prayed on everyday that glowed in the dark. Her words to this day have lit some of my darkest days much like her rosary beads glowed up in the dark as she prayed Hail Marys.

    image

We prayed together then and stood by each other. It’s just too bad, my older siblings sold their integrity getting the profits of my parent’s huge duplex, after my dad’s death. My brother in law was like Hitler as power of attorney and and my siblings fell for his half cocked, uncompassionate and unfair treatment of both myself and my mother with Alzheimer’s disease. I was the only one who looked out for her it seemed and spoke for her with a voice she no longer possessed.

    image

We could see each other, side by side, and when my dad made money selling major appliances and the table went outside…we sat farther apart. Then the house began to be filled with state of the art TV’s and a huge stereo. The television was on more and we talked less.

I saw this big solid maple, fancy kitchen table being delivered with big clunky, heavy chairs I couldn’t lift, and we sat apart from each other. I liked the picnic table better.

    image

Necessity creates innovation and ingenuity. Some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life are some of the poorest. They know how to do it, that they know how to be industrious, and they know as I’ve learned, to do without and make do with what they had.
They have more compassion for others in the same situation.

    Back to reading and knowledge..

Mom read it to me everyday, and my sister bought me Golden Books that I read, each one of them looking at the pictures and being immersed in the stories, sounding out the words.

If I didn’t know what the words were, we all played a game where I would figure out what the word meant by taking the prefixes and saying what it meant. Most of time I would get it right with a little fine-tuning. That would add to my vocabulary everyday.

When I knew how easy it was and the extraordinary potential that a person would possess if they could read, assimilate and have the command of the English language, the world was my Pearl.

Like Helen Keller having Anne Sullivan spelling out the word
w-a-t-e-r in her hand in sign language, she knew everything had a meaning.

Mom was my Anne Sullivan, especially as an unpopular kid recently diagnosed at 9 with epilepsy. There was no such word as bullying in school; kids just did it and nobody cared or did anything. Apathy to the max in the school systems.

9 WAS A PIVOTAL AGE FOR ME. LIFE DEALT ME ONE CURSE EPILEPSY BUT IT ALSO BROUGHT A PIANO IN THE HOUSE AND MUSIC, THEN MY LOVE OF COOKING EMERGED AND WRITING WAS SOON TO FOLLOW. IF GOD WAS A CARD DEALER THE DECK WAS STACKED IN MY FAVOR AT A VERY YOUNG AGE.
I just took until I’m almost 55 just see it that way.

    image

Paulette Anne Le Pore at 9 playing a song I composed called “My Melody” after mom showed me 4 chords and Nanny explained how the pedals worked……

In 3rd grade at Show and Tell I Showed and demonstrated to my class what the piano did by playing all the songs I wrote. Bringing in bullfrog were boring to me!

Every thing ever built or ever created has a name. The more we understand what those things are the more we can understand our place in the world. Also, the more languages that we speak the more than we can understand others and their cultures and find a common denominator within the two.

As in most days I don’t quite ever know what I’m writing but I never worry about it; I just write.

People who put on the editors cap and are over critical too early in the creative process or worry about what other people think of what they do– never do anything because the creative process is squelched.

Create because you think it has merit, or you think it’s beautiful. It doesn’t matter that the world doesn’t think it’s beautiful or does think its extraordinary. Create it because you feel your artwork is in the very essence of your soul waiting to escape like a butterfly in a meadow and you want to share the reverie with others…and the people in the world are the flowers in the field.

    image

    image

you know it is that’s why are you think I can help somebody or you feel it’s good. And once you create something you throw it out in the universe and you hope it touches the lives of people and inspires them or shows them a new way. When it does then it’s extraordinary because then it’s a triple win. It’s the people whose viewpoint on what you do make what you write and every word you hand chisel come alive.

When I was a small child I held a book in my hand with a feeling as though I had the whole world in the palm of my hand. I also knew there was so much more available to me and I was just touching a small microcosmic particle of the knowledge available in the World.

Now have a century later, with me at 54 years young, I hold my Galaxy Note 4 phablet with over 100 apps on it, ebooks, over 5,000 high definition photos, and programs I used to have on a clunky big computer that I recently sold. I installed Microsoft Office and MS Word, allowing me to create documents with vocal recognition software for the first time in my life.

You’re talking about a person who types eighty words a minute but can now type with this new technology. My phablet types for me and I edit. History breaking stuff. Pretty cool, huh?

Thanks to engineers, and IT specialist and computer scientists who created the internet systems with satellites in the sky like my ex-husband the rocket scientist help put up with Boeing, we can do things that we never ever thought possible.

I’m old enough and I’ve seen both sides and it is all pretty extraordinary.

I have had this Google Talk app on my phone for better part of a year and I didn’t know that it was a translating device that I could talk to people in their native language in any part of the world for free.

Now that’s a huge piece of info because I have over 800 friends on Facebook and many of them were in Italy, Thailand and the Philippines and Africa. I can learn their language by using it and that’s what’s so extraordinary about it. It comes in handy for business as well.

I can learn figures of speech in in their language, adding color to my writing. This matters to me. I have some baker friends who are artisan bakers in France and I would love to know and understand more of the French language and the pronunciation of how the words sound. Google Talk helps with that.

I hope that this article made you look at the world little differently. If it did, that makes me really happy and that is the coolest thing in the world.

When you change someone’s mind or you Enlighten them to a new fact that they didn’t know,
You’re in essence opening a magic door to new horizons that were unexplored before. I hope you can use some of this in your life, that you find new ways of thinking brings subtle changes in your life.

Watch “Mel Blanc: The Man of a Thousand Voices” on YouTube

If you want to laugh or smile watch this. I was born in 1961 and so I grew up watching cartoons with Mel Blanc and his extraordinary voice, but I didn’t realize that all the voices on Looney Tunes it came from him!
I didn’t know him or see his face until much later on interviews.

This was hands down the best thing I’ve seen on YouTube in my life in my humble opinion.

Parts of this brought tears into my eyes and in other parts I marveled at how he built the characters and the animators animated around his voice.

He acted out the characters which I didn’t know, which explains why they sound so incredibly true to life when you hear them all on the old Looney Tunes cartoons.

If you’re a kid in this day and age and you haven’t heard one of them, go find an old Looney Tunes cartoon done in the 1960’s, about the time I was born, at the nearest movie store.

Also on the old Looney Tunes shows the musicians in the way it was produced with the orchestrations was a big part of it too because they orchestrated the cartoon adding drama just at the right times. The producers were geniuses on those Warner Brother cartoons. Nothing I’ve seen today impresses me as much. There’s no cartoon in history that’s ever done like the Looney Tunes was.

It was really more of an adult cartoon when I look at it.

I’m going to be 55 years young come August, (I am one of these women that doesn’t care about saying how old I am because I’m holding up pretty good and I don’t care.)

What an extraordinary human being Mel Blanc was and I applaud him for going to burn centers and giving joy and hope to countless children.

in the words of Mel Blanc don’t do anything for work unless you really love doing it and if you do love it won’t even be like work at all.

I grew up at a time in the sixties when CGI didn’t exist, when cell phones didn’t exist, when you had to look something up in the Encyclopedia Britannica to really look it up, and you had to go to the library and look up books using the ISBN number or the Dewey Decimal System. And in regards to Google, we’ll it just wasn’t invented yet.

The Internet hadn’t been invented or the satellite systems that would make it a realty. It was  something out in the cosmos waiting to be invented by ITT computer scientists so people like my ex-husband the rocket scientist would help send satellites up with Boeing on the Delta rocket putting satellites in the sky that made it work.

Here’s to simpler times and two extraordinary voices and extraordinary people like Mel Blanc women animators really drew the animation that you saw on the screen frame by frame.

So carve out a little over an hour and enjoy!

Prayer is not the overcoming of God’s reluctance, but the taking hold of God’s willingness. Phillip Brooks

This is on the inside cover of a book that I carry around with me every day and say certain portions of it that I’ve marked with a Post-It notes called “Handle with Prayer” by Alan Cohen.

    image

I found my copy for a dollar fifty at a book sale in a Friends of The Library sale in southern California, with coffee stains all over the cover and scribbles on the inside, but I didn’t care. I could see the merit of the wonderful book without even reading it. One’s trash is another treasure.

    image

The cover was beat up and damaged so I covered it with cat stickers because if I ever had a pet again it would be a cat. The stickers give me joy, make the cover look a little better and strike up conversations from passers by who see me reading it.

It’s published by Hay House Publishers.

    I recommend it to anybody.

It’s a fantastic book then we’ll have you thinking in more positive ways and transforming your ideas about prayer, God, what you can do and accomplish and a host of other things.

Alan Cohen has written I believe over 20 books.

    http://www.HayHouse.com

The ISBN number on this book handle with prayer is:

    ISBN 1 – 56170 – 467 – 9 hardcover

This book is classified as prayer and self-realization and religious aspects.

This story made my day. I want to go to UNLV and meet the extraordinary, triple win thinking, engineering students who created this sweet little girl’s new hand.
More people in the world should act when they know they can make a difference in someone’s life. These engineering students did!

    Way to go UNLV.

I used to live in Winchester walking distance from UNLV, now I have my own place by CSN.

    This is awesome.

We need more people who “come up to the plate” and change things just because they’re able to.
