March 22nd 2017

As far as we can discern, the whole purpose of human existence is the Kindle a light in the darkness of my being. –

Carl G Jung 1875 – 1961. Memories, Dreams, Reflections.

Men’s Perfection would be the Fulfillment of his end, and his end would be Union with his maker. William James 1842 to 1910.

A good cause makes a stout heart and a strong arm. – Thomas Fuller 1654 – 1734.

The purpose of life is undoubtedly to know oneself. We cannot do it unless we learn to identify ourselves with all that lives. The sum total of that life is God. Hence the necessity of realizing God living within every one of us. The instrument of this knowledge is boundless, selfless service. – Mohandas K Gandhi. In Mahedev Desai, the Diary of Mahedev 1958

Everything living strives for wholeness.- Carl G Jung 1875 – 1961 from on the nature of Dreams 1945

Making a chief design and a great business, not to be rich and great but several live in this world as thou mayst reasonably believe that has got with a friend. Thomas Fuller 1654 to 1734. Intraductio ad Prudentum, 939, 1731

Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, and which you can walk with love and reverence. Henry David Thoreau. 1817 to 1862. From his journal October 18th 1855.

Not only to see and find the Divine in oneself, but to see and find the Divine in all, not only to seek one’s own individual Liberation and Perfection, but to seek Liberation and Perfection of others is the complete law of the spiritual being. – Sri Arubendi 1872 – 1950.

“Lightness” by Caroline Slee: A Beautiful Poem About How We Can Transform Adversity into Clarity with Hope

Lightness…#MondayBlogs – http://wp.me/p1kUsy-AT

Our feet grow heavy with grief

and so we begin to dance

Our minds cloud with fear

until we transform

Every minute

a whisper of hope against impossible odds

Moving with instinct

flowing like water

Boundless

we create our shape

and chart a map

unexplored

Our hearts rise

bright against mourning

opposing forces

lifting us once more

The veil thins

when we choose

to see…

Good morning everyone. Inspire Just One Person Today. Mentor Another

You can make the difference in subtle and very profound ways, without even knowing it in another person’s life.

The next time you really listen to your intuition or inner voice as I call it, give this some true thought:

Think about someone you know who could use your expertise about skill, a new trade, or about a job that you’ve done for many years. Think about something very easy for you but hard for them. Step up to the plate in The Game of Life and offer to make their path a little smoother and a little easier.

If you know someone who is building a website or a blog, and you happen to be a master at it, show them how to do it just because you can. Don’t look for money or for compensation- but just do it because it makes you feel like you made a difference and it’s rewarding.

In life, you don’t have to make money on everything, but rather to make the difference and to be that extra spoke and wheel it makes that car run, or to mentor another and know from that moment on, the person you’re mentoring will have opportunities unveiled because of your actions is highly rewarding and empowering .

Next, find someone who looks really downtrodden, sitting all alone and say something to that person. Say something that’s 100% genuine AND LETS THEM KNOW THEY MATTER and that you know that theyre not indivisible.  To raise someone’s self-esteem and to make them aware of their true potential, to me, is one of the greatest satisfaction on the face of the Earth. It’s not just that one instance that is so intrinsic or special, but the POWERADE of that one instance leading to a chain reaction in a lifetime of change for that human being.

I know Dr. Leo Buscaglia had said in his fabulous book called LOVE, that I highly recommend, that I read in 1984 when I was in college that:

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, smile, a kind word, a listening ear. An honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

(I have the magnet on my fridge and I read it all the time of the power that every individual has to make an impact on other people’s lives.)

It is the ittle things in life like that make it special, for not just yourself but for them as well because they create that wonderful thing called “Triple Win”- I win, um, and Society wins. Just imagine that from moment Society wins period That’s a concept was introduced to me in the Master’s certification program at Chapman University back in 1997.

Here on March 12th 2017, when all of our clocks for fast-forwarded an hour due to daylight savings time, fast forward the result of your positive actions before you do them and see the big picture of your great works before you do them. Be a Visionary. Be a catalyst for positive change on a intimate, one-on-one basis and in your community too.

You be the huge difference in someone’s life and build some new friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime from your initiative.

God bless….

Stages of Our Lives Pass Like Changing Seasons by Paulette Le Pore Motzko New Version

Above images created by Paulette Le Pore Motzko, Copyright 2016

Written by Paulette Le Pore Motzko.

Copyright February 2017

I accidentally erased the link that was on here going to a blog post called “Stages of Change”, and prior to finding the blog post in the wee hours this morning, I had the idea to write this.

I thought the entire story would be written in an hour or by about 3 p.m. now yesterday afternoon, Las Vegas, NV time. It’s 4:00 a.m. February 28th,  2017 and with a Pentatonix Concert on Neflix playing,  I have been embellishing the post with more images that I feel tell part of the story too and modifying what I wrote.

I hope you will enjoy it. Yesterday was my day to “Get Absorbed in The News Day” writing commentaries. I am an empath in many ways, and can only handle hearing about the news of the world every few days. I would never get anything done if I did otherwise. All I have to do is run into one god-forsaken story about Trump, who’s Triple loser in my book, especially after hearing he made fun of a disabled person. Anyone that would make fun of any kind of disabled person is a pathetic human being. Trump’s animalistic, racist and self demeaning behavior boggles my mind. Yes,  I know he tries to demean other people but all he succeeds and doing it’s just lowers himself to increasing new levels of mediocrity.  I want him impeached to preserve the integrity of the United States as an American citizen. He simply makes us look bad in the eyes of other nations.

Enough of my political view points, that were not in the original post,  but I don’t stand alone in my feelings.

One of my golden rules in life is to be genuine and totally authentic. People respect that. When it comes to followers and buying followers  I don’t . All mine are real and represent real, living, breathing , wonderful people  who I have impressed somehow, or I’ve inspired, or empowered, made laugh, entertained,  or they look forward to something that I write, my original images,  or they like just me in general and my persona. My followers are real people who follow me  because I am REAL and put on no pretenses. Anything other than that is just fake in my book, and I’m working on two books currently.

I get asked all the time you want to buy some followers they say why? I have my own real ones from hard work  writing what I feel is good content. I think any industry they call that  organic. As a writer I call it smart because it’s how I know what people LIKE. IF everything is fake and contrived, it doesn’t reflect anything real but it’s just a mere illusion of popularity

When ever I see Trump’s face, one word comes to mind- impeachment. I sincerely hope that happens so the disasters and hate crimes nationwide he instigated can end. The United States needs to think of our progress rather than regression. I wish Trump wasn’t really and instead a really bad nightmare ,  nut we all wake up and he’s still there unfortunately!
Like many of my stories, posts and pictures; they are going through a creative evolutionary process, contantly changing or improving, like their creator me! We all change everyday just a little bit, even though we can’t see the changes, we still do. The great thing about that is it we all have a say in how we change,  and in what ways we change. You just have to want to change then catapult your want with action to make it a reality.

Above photo taken by my friend Martha the general manager of The Canonita-Mexico City Soul Food. Photo editing by Paulette Motzko.

Just like the seasons are now changing from winter to spring, this article is changing with every word I write.

I hope the finished product has you look at not only me in a new way, but life in general in a new way and directs you to a newfound realization of the power you possess in it.

Embrace change. It us the only constant in life.  Those who do the best in life ADAPT.

Much like a surfer on a surfboard riding the wave, those that master the “Art of Living”, ride the wave called LIFE. We can learn from the quick reflexes of the surfer, adjusting what we do in correlation to what’s the way  was coming our way.

When I was younger I hadn’t discovered my full potential yet and didn’t see the world from a big picture vantage point yet. That was to be uncovered and made visible over time. I was a very sick, misunderstood kid that grew up in the 60’s, at a time before the time “bullying” was invented or before people cared to do something about it at least.

My nanny came to live with us when I was nine, the same age I was diagnosed with epilepsy. The piano she brought with her would soon become my best friend. It took until high school at 14 to be invented for me to know what size your freedom was.  Until the time kids were just too mean spirited stupid to ever give me a chance as human being, let alone as a friend.  I wrote music on that Henry Ford. Miller piano and read lots of cookbooks and passed the time figuring out what I was going to make and cook, analyzing recipes as though it were a novel envisioning  what I’d make  when I grew up and the parties that I would have and how awesome it would be…….

Every day pray and meditate as your 1st thing in the day.  Connect with your Omnipotent Power of the Universe asking for Wisdom and Guidance. I AM CHISTIAN BAPTIZED CATHOLIC, BUT I AM SPIRITUAL IN NATURE. No matter what your faith, place that part of you first and you cannot be steered wrong.

Totally Inspired Mind

Light an aromatherapy candle and find out how you can tap into what’s inside your SOUL.

I have always found lighting a candle is a way to connect to a hidden, very special light planted in my soul.

Chances are, if you try it, you will discover it too.

Before you know it, when you start connecting with your Spiritual Source, you’ll find a light that you can protect outward at the world, and the world will be brighter as result of it. If your light shines brilliantly it’s own special way, the light will never go away as long as the World Turns. If you bring something to the world nobody has ever seen before that has great merit,  you’ll be memorable enough that your memory and good you did will “shine” like the aurora borealis.

The older I get the more I focus on the good I can give rather than what I can get and options and opportunities open like flowers in the Spring.

Stay centered.

Keep your focus on what matters.

Don’t do something just because everybody else is.

Have your own viewpoints and own them.

Write every day, even if you are the only one who reads what you write.

Remember:  “With a pen,  paper and an idea, I have the world!”

Writing is a way you can connect with your innermost self, your hopes and dreams unfurl as you hold that pen in your hand, or as you type. Whichever method helps you connect better and be more prolific, do it!

Go after what you really want in life early and do what you, and nobody else was meant to do.

Keep Supporters of Your Dreams Close To You

Photography by Leonardo Valencia, of Paulette Motzko holding one of her Nikons.

Keep Negative and Hurtful People Away From You. You owe it to yourself to have a happy and productive life. Negative people are like a ball and chain who get their enjoyment from dragging you down because they don’t have the initiative, talent or ideas that you do. Repel them like water beads on Vaseline.

Water the Garden of Your Dreams Daily by working on each Project.

Listen to your inner voice, or intuition because it is always right.

Take time for your routine that keeps you most healthy.

If music is a passion of yours, sing a song or put some music out in the universe making your contribution to making a more harmonious world.

Life is a balancing act composed of spiritual time, personal time, work time, leisure time and whatever other classifications you when to add.

Take time to do self-introspection so you can see how far you’ve come and how far you’ve gone to appreciate Where You Are now.

Mentor others  so you can help others carry the torch and do things easier than you once did.
Donate your time then to philanthropic things to give back to the world and it will give you more back than you ever dreamed.
Make the most of where you are now. Use the tools you have now, they don’t have to be the best tools but they’re the tools we can afford and use them maximize them and save up for whatever equipment you need to do your job well.
Don’t take the first no for an answer you hear. If you’re not getting what you want with your company go to the corporate level and I guarantee you’ll get what you want.

Relaxing Background Guitar Music & How Creating An Inspiring Environment by Paulette Motzko

    https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv1Yx3eFnEg&feature=share

I love this beautiful acoustic guitar play list.

If you are a creative person just like I am, the key is to find out to flowing inspiration is to know in an intimate way what environment helps you create the best in yourself.

Keep repeating it over and over again. What works for you will be different than anyone else.

    Things that inspire me are…

Beautiful natural surroundings are beautiful places

    The Pacific Ocean

    Majestic mountains

    Enchanted Forest’s

Inspiring workplaces that are conducive to concentration

Special music playlist and help bring out the best in your artwork. This could be writing, this could be photography, this could be cooking or painting or some other art form.

The special place that everytime you go there you meet someone extraordinary. I have several places like that and I don’t even question what happens I just know it happens. Will meet someone who is absolutely extraordinary every time I go to this certain location. If you pay attention you’ll find then you can maximize the positives in your world. Just pay attention and follow your instincts and usually always steered in the right direction.

And lastly I do a lot of meditation everyday I’m prayer and centering thought hoping to create something I feel give something back to the universe, and will last long after I touched the face of God.

“Warren Buffett’s Top 10 Rules For Success” & Paulette Motzko’s Advice

Warren Buffett’s  advice for living is fantastic. He has many short and sweet pointers they can become guiding principles  if you allow them to be.

I was listening to this YouTube video when I was in the kitchen doing things one of the key points I picked up was “what people look for” is people who are energetic and smart and the other component in finding people to work with and also as friends is integrity. Also passion and enthusiasm they’re really high on the list too.

That’s my personal guiding principle in life, kind of like the DNA of my system.

If the people I associate with don’t have integrity I don’t associate with them- it’s that simple.
I’m very selective on who I hang with because I don’t want to be like those with undesirable qualities, or pick up any of their bad habits.

My mom taught me early on that “who you associate with is who you become”, well to a large extent that’s true.

I would encourage you to be around people who believe in your dreams and who help you achieve your dreams that’s my advice.

“Jim Carrey’s Top 10 Rules For Success” & P. Motzko’s Commentary-From Vision to Living The Dream

” Jim Carrey is a Visionary and uses very empowering visualisations to have propelled himself from being homeless – but with very detailed dreams and goals of what he wanted his life to be- to living his dreams and a success story.

He now speaks in front of large groups of people at universities giving them advice on how to live, and telling them what he’s learned.
After you finish speaking he makes people feel like they can do anything- and with the right mindset you can.

You know you’re a leader and you know you’re doing something right when you can show others new ways of thinking and show them that they possessed inside what they sought all along.

I know as a piano teacher, I know a student will do well just because they have music inside their soul; it’s like its hard-wired in their system. I already know the students going to be successful before I even start teaching them.

“5 Ways to Improve your COMMUNICATION Skills – #BelieveLife” on YouTube with Commentary by Paulette L Motzko, Totally Inspired Mind

What an awesome 25 minute video from the Believe channel by Evan Carmichael.

The first presenter speaks of the key points of communication and he uses an acronym “HAIL” which stands for Honesty, Authenticity , Integrity and Love.

Very well done! Those are huge things I value in life. ALL THE PEOPLE I ASSOCIATE WITH MUST possess those qualities. That is a prerequisite with me.
If they do not, I simply don’t associate with them.

Life is too short to hang with crows or buzzards when you can soar with the eagles instead.

After YOU ARE 18 years old, you have the right to choose who you associate with.

If your family member is malicious or doesn’t have your best interest in mind, or is just psychologically messed up and causes havoc in your life– you simply don’t need to be around them.

I have a few family members like that. You can’t exchange family members like a bad poker hand, but you can simply walk away from the game and let them play by themselves.

When I was about 6 years old I remember mom saying ” who you are around is what you become.”
So, when looked at things in that context, becomes very easy to weed people out of your life and be more selective.

For instance, when I used to do gardening in my last house in Orange before my divorce, I remember putting this stuff called Preen my flower box with the geraniums, gladiolus, daffodils and Lily of the Nile. It helped to prevent weeds. Yes prevent them. It made it so I didn’t have to sit there breaking my back tending the soil the next day. Even though the stuff cost a fair amount of money, all I had to do was put it on once a month and it saved me work.

Bad people are like weeds and they can infiltrate your life with snuggled edges, and pollute your mind with bad thoughts, colorful language that you really shouldn’t be using, because when you’re around someone that does something over and over again it tends to rub off on you.

If you set high standards in your life and associate with flowers who help you bloom too, the garden called your life will always bloom.

If you compare bad people to weeds- people who possess the opposite of the qualities outlined in the acronym HAIL, it becomes very easy to not let them take over your pretty flower garden… otherwise known as your world. Your life, like a flower garden, blooms in direct proportion to what you plant.

    image

    image

Images photographs and created by Paulette L Motzko, PLM Studios, Las Vegas, Nevada Copyright 2015 and 2016

Let every one of the people in your life bloom on their own. People who share a common denometer with you, naturally help you bloom to the most of your ability…because they are blooming themselves and are happy with where they are in life. Conversely, people who aren’t happy in life, and who only bring negative things to the forefront, are people who will usually try to drag you down to their low existence.

    Don’t let them do it.

The most important things to me are honesty, integrity, tactfulness, of course- because you don’t just want to say anything that comes to your mind in the sake of being honest to somebody.

All these things put together build your reputation. Your reputation is what you’re going to leave when you’re not here anymore and that’s what people will remember most about you.

It’s not how many cars you have in the driveway, it’s not how fancy your Gucci bag is, but simply how you treat other people and how you made them feel when they were around you.

Those things form who you become in life and who people know you to be.

That really is what matters to me in life. I hope you enjoy this YouTube video I’ve got to find out how to reach Evan Carmichael that does all of these extraordinary “Believe” YouTube videos because they are the best I’ve ever seen.

You have my Paulette Le Pore Motzko Seal of Approval on that Mr Evan Carmichael.

I’ve would love to meet Evan Carmichael one day and congratulate him on an outstanding collection of YouTube videos.

I don’t know how he does it but the finish product is pretty extraordinary.

With my blog Totally Inspired Mind I wanted to contribute something extraordinary and put it out of the universe and then get other like-minded people to join it. It started with a vision and then it became reality in a few hours when I created the blog in a hotel room. Now five years later about a hundred countries read this and now I am going to monetizing it. Currently my payment is sharing what I feel us quality content that is remembered and shared.
I aspire to communicate using the HAIL principles outlined in this YouTube video of honesty, authenticity, integrity and love always.

Google Talk The Global Translation Chat App & & Paulette Motzko’s Thrill of Discovery

I learn many things new through the course of my day everyday. I have always had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, even since I was a small child at 4 years old, learning to read, and then learning phonetics. I learned the meanings of the prefixes and suffixes when I was 6 years old.
I learned the value of a book and the extraordinary concepts within each cover, and libraries became one of my favorite places, and still are.

    image

Hot off the press I just created this image to go with this story from a photo I took in Vista, CA about three years ago now.

Photography & Digital Arts by Paulette Motzko

There was never a dumb question around our house and every night around the kitchen table, before we would eat dinner we would bless the food, thank God for everything we had, and look at each other and thank God we had each other. How I wish it was that way today. But people change and so you change with it.

My dad would ask everyone what we learned that day. He would go one by one, and ask each one of us who’s the most extraordinary thing we learned that day. If we didn’t learn anything he would say “go pick up a book” or “how are you doing in school” and things like that.

Every night at dinner time we would sit around our table and we would share what we had learned that day.

Yes, how I wish life was like a projector that you could go back in time and make my siblings remember when they had a heart and soul, but that’s not how life works. Change is the only thing we can count on and those who adapt the best do the best.

Yes, we sat around with a painted picnic table that was painted by my mother and communicated with each other, laughed, my brothers told jokes, and we were there in the moment.

Our family couldn’t afford a kitchen table like the kind they sold in a furniture store, but being the industrious people that the Le Pores are, my dad bought a picnic table that my mother painted white.

As always mom had this way of creating something out of nothing, and when she was done, the table was painted and varnished and had a really pretty flower arrangement on the top of it.

She then bought some yellow gingham sheets that she found on sale, and transformed them into beautiful drapes for our huge kitchen windows.

25 years later, after my parents sold that first house they bought for a mere $20,000 and sold it for $100,000 years later, those drapes are still there. People did not want to take them down and loved them and bragged about how beautiful they were. It was my secret, that they’ll never know they were made out of sheets.

These remain to this day some of the most Stellar memories I have of my childhood.

My Nanny always told us a family who prays together stays together. It’s something she swore by. It was imprinted on the Rosary she prayed on everyday that glowed in the dark. Her words to this day have lit some of my darkest days much like her rosary beads glowed up in the dark as she prayed Hail Marys.

    image

We prayed together then and stood by each other. It’s just too bad, my older siblings sold their integrity getting the profits of my parent’s huge duplex, after my dad’s death. My brother in law was like Hitler as power of attorney and and my siblings fell for his half cocked, uncompassionate and unfair treatment of both myself and my mother with Alzheimer’s disease. I was the only one who looked out for her it seemed and spoke for her with a voice she no longer possessed.

    image

We could see each other, side by side, and when my dad made money selling major appliances and the table went outside…we sat farther apart. Then the house began to be filled with state of the art TV’s and a huge stereo. The television was on more and we talked less.

I saw this big solid maple, fancy kitchen table being delivered with big clunky, heavy chairs I couldn’t lift, and we sat apart from each other. I liked the picnic table better.

    image

Necessity creates innovation and ingenuity. Some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life are some of the poorest. They know how to do it, that they know how to be industrious, and they know as I’ve learned, to do without and make do with what they had.
They have more compassion for others in the same situation.

    Back to reading and knowledge..

Mom read it to me everyday, and my sister bought me Golden Books that I read, each one of them looking at the pictures and being immersed in the stories, sounding out the words.

If I didn’t know what the words were, we all played a game where I would figure out what the word meant by taking the prefixes and saying what it meant. Most of time I would get it right with a little fine-tuning. That would add to my vocabulary everyday.

When I knew how easy it was and the extraordinary potential that a person would possess if they could read, assimilate and have the command of the English language, the world was my Pearl.

Like Helen Keller having Anne Sullivan spelling out the word
w-a-t-e-r in her hand in sign language, she knew everything had a meaning.

Mom was my Anne Sullivan, especially as an unpopular kid recently diagnosed at 9 with epilepsy. There was no such word as bullying in school; kids just did it and nobody cared or did anything. Apathy to the max in the school systems.

9 WAS A PIVOTAL AGE FOR ME. LIFE DEALT ME ONE CURSE EPILEPSY BUT IT ALSO BROUGHT A PIANO IN THE HOUSE AND MUSIC, THEN MY LOVE OF COOKING EMERGED AND WRITING WAS SOON TO FOLLOW. IF GOD WAS A CARD DEALER THE DECK WAS STACKED IN MY FAVOR AT A VERY YOUNG AGE.
I just took until I’m almost 55 just see it that way.

Paulette Anne Le Pore at 9 playing a song I composed called “My Melody” after mom showed me 4 chords and Nanny explained how the pedals worked……

In 3rd grade at Show and Tell I Showed and demonstrated to my class what the piano did by playing all the songs I wrote. Bringing in bullfrog were boring to me!

Every thing ever built or ever created has a name. The more we understand what those things are the more we can understand our place in the world. Also, the more languages that we speak the more than we can understand others and their cultures and find a common denominator within the two.

As in most days I don’t quite ever know what I’m writing but I never worry about it; I just write.

People who put on the editors cap and are over critical too early in the creative process or worry about what other people think of what they do– never do anything because the creative process is squelched.

Create because you think it has merit, or you think it’s beautiful. It doesn’t matter that the world doesn’t think it’s beautiful or does think its extraordinary. Create it because you feel your artwork is in the very essence of your soul waiting to escape like a butterfly in a meadow and you want to share the reverie with others…and the people in the world are the flowers in the field.

you know it is that’s why are you think I can help somebody or you feel it’s good. And once you create something you throw it out in the universe and you hope it touches the lives of people and inspires them or shows them a new way. When it does then it’s extraordinary because then it’s a triple win. It’s the people whose viewpoint on what you do make what you write and every word you hand chisel come alive.

When I was a small child I held a book in my hand with a feeling as though I had the whole world in the palm of my hand. I also knew there was so much more available to me and I was just touching a small microcosmic particle of the knowledge available in the World.

Now have a century later, with me at 54 years young, I hold my Galaxy Note 4 phablet with over 100 apps on it, ebooks, over 5,000 high definition photos, and programs I used to have on a clunky big computer that I recently sold. I installed Microsoft Office and MS Word, allowing me to create documents with vocal recognition software for the first time in my life.

You’re talking about a person who types eighty words a minute but can now type with this new technology. My phablet types for me and I edit. History breaking stuff. Pretty cool, huh?

Thanks to engineers, and IT specialist and computer scientists who created the internet systems with satellites in the sky like my ex-husband the rocket scientist help put up with Boeing, we can do things that we never ever thought possible.

I’m old enough and I’ve seen both sides and it is all pretty extraordinary.

I have had this Google Talk app on my phone for better part of a year and I didn’t know that it was a translating device that I could talk to people in their native language in any part of the world for free.

Now that’s a huge piece of info because I have over 800 friends on Facebook and many of them were in Italy, Thailand and the Philippines and Africa. I can learn their language by using it and that’s what’s so extraordinary about it. It comes in handy for business as well.

I can learn figures of speech in in their language, adding color to my writing. This matters to me. I have some baker friends who are artisan bakers in France and I would love to know and understand more of the French language and the pronunciation of how the words sound. Google Talk helps with that.

I hope that this article made you look at the world little differently. If it did, that makes me really happy and that is the coolest thing in the world.

When you change someone’s mind or you Enlighten them to a new fact that they didn’t know,
You’re in essence opening a magic door to new horizons that were unexplored before. I hope you can use some of this in your life, that you find new ways of thinking brings subtle changes in your life.

In life we never know what we are getting and what kinds of blessings or tragedies may befall. You can only stack the deck in your favor so when the hand is played you come close to winning.

If every one of you reading this sentence could realize that nobody on earth was dealt a perfect life, then maybe you won’t feel so isolated or sad, just knowing you are not the only one. Everybody on the bus every day I see has their own joys, family, friends and struggles. Just because you don’t know them, don’t fool yourself. Problems in life don’t omit anyone, no matter how much money you make. Often the richest people have the most screwed up lives. They have no idea what to do with all their money and have lost the ability to enjoy simple things. They spend their lives trying new drugs and paying for expensive thrills that leave them flat and uninspired.

As a child who was disabled and went through a merry-go-round-of medicine for epilepsy before I got to the one that worked when I was fourteen-years-old.

I learned big words and related to teachers better than my classmates who made fun of me because I was different. All the things I went through in my early years toughened me up to be a soldier of life and an ambassador of compassion and good will who can related to everyone with a cane, in a wheelchair and who strives each day to know health firsthand and independence.

Even though in life you may have looked at hell in the eye like I did and been through moments where you nearly died; remember you made it out the other end.

A visualization to picture your mind that I created after going through one of the worst year and a half of my life is:

I can see myself walking through a huge hoop of fire and coming out the other end transformed, stronger, and smarter and where ingenuity is in my DNA. After helping my parents pay their house payment thrown the span of 15 years and being betrayed by my siblings I grew up with; it redefined my existence.

We were once a good family, not a perfect family, but we were never an apathetic, hate filled family. There was so much negative dynamics going on between my older siblings and that no matter if my mother needed help, if I could have done over again, I would have looked out for number one and that is all, and got the hell out of there. I can see that in retrospect and wish I would done that, but if I had mom wouldn’t have anyone who gave a damn and she wouldn’t be in the senior home she is now.

The things you learn in life gaining wisdom are vast.

What have you learned in life?

Are there lessons you can pass on to others?

What is a lesson you learned that you can pass on to another to make their path smoother, watching out for rocks and boulders?

You see, when you do without you learn to compromise. You learn how to substitute and you truly get to know what it is like to live on a bargain basement existence that only those who frequent places like The 99 Cents Store, Dollar General remembering numerous times since moving to Nevada and having my SSI cut by $150 a month-times when I couldn’t afford anything in the dollar store!

What I do know out of the tragic and almost mind boggling callous and low class way I was treated in the end of making great sacrifices for my mom and financially helping my dad by living on the duplex he was still making payments on after 2001. I learned that there are people who look like a human being but are missing a soul and a conscious; my siblings fit that description. I only hope that they regret it one day. I know I did the best I could in spite of going through adversity myself. In other words, we are only responsible for ourselves and there comes a point where all the talking in the world isn’t going to change things.

    image

Move on. Look back and accept what you did and embrace the choices you made.

Just because you were betrayed doesn’t mean you have betray someone else. Just because you were hit, doesn’t mean you have to hit someone else. Someone else’s cold heart doesn’t have to be yours and shouldn’t be yours.

Why the Lord allows good people to go through hell none of us will know, especially when their hearts and souls are good.

In life what matters most is for you to not focus on the dark aspects or “shadows” in your life. Look at the “bright spots” that sparkle like Orion on a clear night in the desert. Keep the friends who have become family; they are your new family.

    image

Just because you are related to someone doesn’t give them the right to be in your life. To have the right someone has to treat you with dignity and respect. If those elements are missing, then you really don’t need the person in your life.

Remember, every negative person drags you down. Every positive person lifts you and your spirits up.
You want to be dragged down to the nether world, or do you want to keep people around you who also set their aspirations on high and noble things. Forget the rest.
I pray to meet people who are kind, caring, compassionate who care about the world around them and who care about children, the environment and the world issues.
Here is a cool visual for you: I also pray to NOT MEET negative, pessimistic people and to avoid or REPEL people with rotten intentions people just like water droplets on Vaseline.
What story will you retell people?

Will it be a triumphant one? A Courageous One? An Extraordinary One?

Make the things you say be as amazing as yourself, because the spoken word is what people will remember about you.

Do you want to be a mina bird of the same, sad story or do you want to force yourself to grow, find the wisdom in your pain and to help people they are not alone.

If pain and suffering has to be, let it be transformed to bring someone up from their aloneness.
I hope this 1,534 word story does just that. Come out of your cave and light the light and let it shine on only the good and the great. No matter what your faith, don’t lose hope and never quit believing the good and just win. And even if they don’t “win” they show everybody in the world how they can! After all, people are only winners or losers in their minds. What you think you are you will be.
I hope every word changes your minds, and transforms your spirit and helps you think about the experiences you have gone through and how you carry them around.
Troubles can be on your shoulders like lead weights or you can problem solve, pray and meditate and gain insight. To do that you need solitude and uninterrupted time so you can think. When was the last time you gave yourself that gift? It is through self-introspection that you grow and transform into something greater.
Learn to journal and write every day your innermost feelings. At first at will feel awkward doing it, but it will come more naturally with time. In time you will look forward to it. Make it a minimum of 30 minutes. Go to a library where you can be guaranteed to not be bothered and where it is quiet enough you can hear yourself think. Preferably have nobody see it but you and God and your soul.
In your first journal book entry: make a list of all the things you are thankful for this moment.
Now make a list of things you need to work on to be happier and feel better.
Number them and create a plan of action.
Make the most of what you have now. If you want more, work for it all and enjoy what you have NOW. This time will never come again. When you are 85 ladies you will think you look like pretty hot now! Hey guys, tell your mom and dad you love them, they won’t be around forever. I am reminded that our time on this extraordinary earth is limited. Make the most of your travels here.

It is only then that you can take what were problems and setbacks and throw them in the sea and watch the seagulls take them away to the wild blue.
Put some beautiful and inspiring music on iheart.com radio or Pandora.com and get in touch with who you really are. When you do that, you will find you have way more going for you but you just overlooked what you were given.

Written with love to the world.

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry…

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.” – Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde’s words made me think here and then re-think what exactly he meant.

In my opinion what he is saying is:

We imitate way too often in life. From the thoughts we think to the opinions we claim are our own. Many are afraid to say anything out of the ordinary, even if they might be totally right and have valid points to make.

I think the most boring people around and also the most annoying are those who won’t state their opinion about anything. They fear someone will disagree with them so they say nothing at all.

Even worse is the person who could have turned in the cell phone they found in a bathroom stall so the rightful owner could have a chance at cleaiming their world and contacts and information contained therin. (I mention that specific example because I turned one in last night when I found in sitting in the bathroom.) The opportunities are all over though to make that difference, if you only feel like it.

When was the last time you stood up for a cause you felt strongly about?

Sign a petition on Care.org and become involved with making a difference in the world, one signature at a time.

I know everybody speaks of how many followers one has on Twitter or Face Book or other networking sites. When was the last time you thought of “where you are leading people to”?

When Oscar Wilde said their lives are a mimicry, it is because few set the pace for others or are TREND SETTERS….showing the way to better or newer ways of doing things or thinking.

By saying “their passions are a quotation” I think Oscar Wilde meant instead of us making the most out of what are strenths and passions are enabling us to be quoted one day, we “retweet” other’s words instead of writing or creating something with the intent for it to have lasting longevity.

I hope this made you think in new and enlightening ways.

If it did, I did my job as a writer.

Don’t Chase People-Instead Try to Attract The Right People-Reflect What You Want to Find

    Image

Be What You Want to Attract

    By Paulette Le Pore Motzko

    March 22, 2013

Instead of chasing people who could care less, simply invest your precious time on those who already know your worth. This is a gift to yourself and them. There are too many people who already like you and feel you are worthy, without a “sell-job”. Everyone has their special innate talents and gifts and personalities. Some personalities clash like cymbals such as my brothers and I who have tempers and are like bulls in china closets putting always on the gruff exterior.

We all play our own melodies that reflect what we believe, what we love and what we value. When you put them all together it plays a kind of “music of our soul” and who we are. Why play punk music or acid rock when you want Bach instead? Why listen to John Cage in dissonant notes of 21st century modern music when you can instead listen to French Impressionistic Claude Debussy or Big Band Glenn Miller, or Henry Mancini, Montovani, or popular music? We are all byproducts of our upbringings and what we learn and grow into, like flowers. Some don’t get proper fertilizer and end up as weeds, and aren’t pretty at all but grow out all over the place.

Write down the things that matter to you in values and then make sure you show that to people in every word that comes out of your mouth. If you value people who “do what they say they do”, then make darn sure you do the same, or your integrity will be lost forever.

I hope you have enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Somehow no matter what I am going through, when I write it is as though all the concepts and imagery all come together like a grand symphony.

Remember in life nothing is constant and things are constantly changing around us, just look at the earth as a grand example. We are rotating on an axis every moment of the day but it is so gradual it is indistinguishable.

Keep what you love around you-in terms of people and things and you will be a much happier and healthier person.

That last sentence when employed and put to work in you life can save you health problems, aggravation and also dusting a million objects around your house that you didn’t even care about in the first place.

When everything in your world, including people, earn their place in your hearts and world by being something or someone that gives you joy back, your life takes a new meaning.

What do you hope to attract in your life?

Is there anyone you were chasing without knowing it? Don’t force life or people or situations. There are too many people that cannot imagine a world without you in it to focus on the few that aren’t intelligent enough you include you in theirs.

I wish you health, peace, serenity and enough money to keep you happy and pay for what you need and some left over to enjoy some of what you want!

Money isn’t evil-it removes stress and is a tool to accomplish things in life. It is what you do with the money that makes it bad or good, much like the internet.

Some People Feel the Rain and Others Just Get Wet….

    Image

Truly Seeing The World Around You by Paulette Le Pore Motzko

    Copyright March 2013

I love what this said in that it illustrates that some really don’t truly live but go through life blinders on to the sights, scents and amazing small miracles they encounter. When we open up our world to the sights and scents and all the experiences in life, we truly live.

For instance, here is a great exercise to become better at TRULY SEEING LIFE. PRETEND YOU ARE EXPLAINING WHAT YOU ARE SEEING AND EXPERIENCING TO SOMEONE WHO IS BLIND.

I had a great friend when I was younger who was blind and I used to explain in glorious detail what I was seeing for her and only wished she could see what I did. I also had a client who was blind and had epilepsy and he called me for help when I was the CEO/Founder of The Epilepsy Connection. It was Friend & Family Day at The Braille Institute and none of his family wanted to go with him, so I became his family and was honored.

If you have never volunteered your time at The Braille Institute, or been there it will literally “open your eyes” to some of the most courageous and intelligent people you will ever encounter. I wore a blind fold to simulate blindness and then cooked (or at least tried to) with the blind fold on. It didn’t go very well because I had no grasp of where things were from each other and I realized what blind people have to go through on a daily basis to do even the most simple things.

Then I wore goggles to simulate being partially blind, which was worse than the other, because things looked distorted and out of focus. Then they gave me a can to walk with and we were supposed to find our way home, with an assistance, who gave directions and described in glorious detail what I was coming up against and allowing my ears to make up for my eyes.

In the center of The Braille Institute in Anaheim on Dale is a beautiful fountain with crystalline waters flowing from it. I have always loved fountains and the charm of them but had no idea there was a distinct reason why the fountain was there. Do you know why it was there?

It was to give orientation to all the people there who had vision impairments-blind or partially blind. They could sense where they were from the center of the building.  My senses were not in tune with it and I never really got a sense for where I was at, but I had an even deeper appreciation of people who were blind, who taught many of the courses and looked just like anyone else. Epilepsy and blindness have several things in common:

    1. They are permanent disabilities

    2. They are for the most part invisible to others

    3. They make those whose lives have been touched by it gain a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

    4. Anyone can acquire epilepsy or blindness if the right set of circumstances arose

In my case, I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 9 years old and was a very sick child passing out all over the place and it took awhile to find a medicine gave me the control I now have. Consciousness, uninterrupted normalcy was a highly appreciated thing and compassion was a thing I learned at a very early age, along with big words, and hanging around with people who were 30 years my senior because the “kids” my age didn’t understand what I was going through and were not nice.

Going back to the name of this post/article, the next time you go outside on a pretty day, pick up a pen and paper and write down what you see. I mean, really write it down as though you are seeing for the first time and are explaining to someone who cannot see. It will change your world forever.

    St. Patrick’s Day 2013

Always Trust Your Instincts, They are Messages From Your Soul

Always Trust Your Instincts, They are Messages From Your Soul

From the beautiful web site called “Signs of Angels.com” these words caught me and inspired me to write the following piece. I hope you like it.

Have you ever been some where and something “inside you” spoke to you not to go somewhere or do something. You aren’t sure what it is, but you just know that your “inner voice” said simply “Don’t do it!”

By the same token, have you ever been somewhere and thought it would be a great idea to do something, and you aren’t sure why?

Have you ever acted on that inclination to do something that you felt would have a very positive outcome and it did have one?

I am finding this happening to me all the time. I call it “do what works and do it over and over again theory!”

We don’t have to understand everything in life, but we can simply act on our inner voices, and if we do, most of the time I find they steer you in a positive direction.

Some of this comes with age, and the older we get the smarter we become, (hopefully), and then intuition and wisdom comes in and a higher intelligence-once again, hopefully!

Have you ever noticed that when you pray or meditate in the morning (if you do, that is) that the very things you prayed for or hoped for happened that day? I have this happen to me continually, and it is almost incredible. There are certain locations where this phenomenon happens more regularly and others which it doesn’t, for whatever reason.

I will be moving in the next few weeks to a new state Arizona, but it is not totally unfamiliar. I was born there and remember it really well even though I was only 6 when we left it. I have been back there on several occasions and to Phoenix with a friend some years ago. I love the look of it, the purple mountains and the way the desert looks in when it blooms, the Saguaro cacti and my Uncle Lewis and Godfather still live there with lots of cousins. I have many friends in Arizona as well, which will be great. I am wanting a more “minimalistic” life style and I have been getting rid of all kinds of things that I simply don’t love or want to maintain any longer. I want a simple life, less stuff and to have create a place that I can create in, entertain in, cook in and just be happy in. The thing I say as I look at everything I am paying the movers to load in an 18 foot truck will be “Do I love it” and “Does it give me joy”? (That is sort of the same thing I ask myself when I think of the people in my life too!) Makes living pretty easy if you think that way. Why I bring this up is, I checked states all over the USA and could have gone really any where, but the one that kept calling me some how was Arizona and the simpler life, the “horsies” I remember in the large ranches, Indian reservations scattered all over and turquise being sold every where with country stores.

    ArizonaSunset3.5.2013

We don’t have to understand everything in life but just know yourself and know what would enable you to live the best life possible within your abilities and means. That is why I am moving to Arizona.

This is sort of the reverse of what my dad did when I was a kid when he packed up the Rambler station wagon and all of us and said he wanted to leave the fence business and go out and see the pacific ocean. He just knew he could make more money, and he did. I will always come back on trips with the Greyhound bus to see mom, my friends, the pier, and just all the places I have grown used to for 35 years! It doesn’t have to be one or the other; I can enjoy the best of both worlds-or places.

It is going to be a process and my life with be different, but different is OK with me as along as it is different in a good way. I am outgoing and never have taken long to meet my neighbors. I will have neighbors where I am going and they will speak English, unlike in Little Saigon where the same people for 12 years are lucky to know “hello” and smile. That was never my cup of tea but I helped my folks pay their mortgage for 12 years and I had a place to live and helped my parents out in the end. I know I did it and I will always have the good memories.

I know that even though my siblings were not grateful for anything I did in the end and were far from supportive or loving, God saw what I did and more importantly, I know what I did and wasn’t trying to earn any brownie points, but merely to do what was right. Sometimes doing that is not the easy way, but I can look back with no regrets, knowing I did the best I could and smile at the memories I had with my parents while they were alive. Mom is still alive and is 81 and lives with my sister temporarily until she goes into a special home for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She requires 24 hour care now. I will make regular trips back to CA to see her because without her this blog wouldn’t exist because I wouldn’t exist! She was my cheerleader and teacher and is like a star in my sky in the evening and the sun when it is day.

So the next time you get an idea for something and you think it is a good one, see what happens by doing it. Hopefully it will have an awesome outcome.

Believe in All That You Are-Poem by Leslie Neilson

photo selection by Paulette Le Pore Motzko

As the dawn of each morning…

    peers into your life,

there lies a path to follow.

    Delicate whispers can be heard

if you listen to the sound of your heart

and the voice that speaks within you.

If you listen closely to your soul,

you will become aware of your dreams

    that are yet to unfold.

You will discover that there lies within you

a voice of confidence and strength

that will prompt you to seek a journey

    and live a dream.

Within the depths of your mind,

the purpose and direction of your life

can be determined by listening intently

to the knowledge that you already possess.

    Your heart, mind, and soul

    are the foundation

    of your success and happiness.

In the still of each passing moment,

may you come to understand that

you are capable of reaching a higher destiny.

When you come to believe in all that you are

and all that you can become,

there will be no cause for doubt.

Believe in your heart, for it offers hope.

Believe in your mind for it offers direction.

Believe in your soul, for it offers strength.

But above all else…believe in yourself.

The stars in the night sky, the constellations represent the cosmos and the Omnipotent Presence we all believe in...or at least I do.Every day we are alive is one more day we can learn, become, throw away old habits and focus on what and who matters ad our main priorities in life.
