This big, wide, sometimes tragic, always beautiful world was given to us to cherish like the people who inhabit it.
Our world isn’t disposable any more than the very special, living, breathing people who call it home.
We need to really start CHERISHING those dear to use and demonstrating to them how much they matter while we can…like NOW.
We each need our own space and sacred places we go where we are in our element, or at least where we can think on a higher plane.
That will be unique to each of us, but find the beautiful places where you are and spend time near it. If you are fortunate to live near nature, then go bask it its wonderful glow.
The dusty desert here is a sad replacement for the bougainvillea-lined beaches with crystalline water that I remember so well and miss so much, but there are natural places here, such as the Springs Preserve and local community parks.
Wherever that place is for you, being close to Nature or not, make sure and go there daily.
You owe it to yourself and everyone around you to be your best self. If you want to read a book in quiet with no interruptions, that’s ok.
If you aren’t used to carving out a Sacred Space for yourself, you’ll learn over time what feels right and what places help you thrive. Pay attention and create a journal that you can keep track of your feelings when you go to various special places to only you- and you’ll soon end up with a list of sacred spaces before too long.
