Have a Safe and Fun Halloween 2018!

If you parents have small children who will be celebrating Halloween dressing up in cute costumes, check out the Google Maps app, if you haven’t already, and you can search your local malls in that app and also libraries near you.

Why I tell you to do that is because you can often find places that celebrate Halloween in safe environments and it’s fun for the kids because they get to see the other kids, play, goof off and do the wonderful things kids do, and share their costumes and show them off.

You the parent can have the peace of mind.

You won’t have to worry that your kids are getting razor blades in the popcorn balls or other tainted candy and other garbage that some evil minded people do to innocent children each year.

I know because I always hear about it on the news the next day and just wish more people would think of more innovative, unique, healthful or even fun things to give other than candy like crayons or raisins, trail mix, or any other thing you might think of.

As intelligent as kids are becoming these days and sophisticated with smartphones put in their hands at early ages.

I think the whole candy giving thing will gradually be replaced with ever more healthy options in the future.

Until that time comes, at least you can have the best of both worlds: Your kids can still have a lot of fun and yet you, as a responsible loving parent will also have peace of mind.

And the wind whispers… “don’t be afraid I am here” “close your eyes” “smell the salty air let the spirit of the ocean move you” “everything is as it should be”….

Where do you like to go where “everything is as it should be”……

I can’t wait till I go back to Southern California and I’m back on my own home turf again or at least with my feet in the sand again wood nice weather, lower crime rate and a higher education level on most everybody and a higher ethic value and philosophy on the way the entire state is runned.

Watch “President Trump and the First Lady Host Halloween at the White House” on YouTube

This is basically 42 minutes of President Trump and the First Lady handing out candy to a lot of sweet kids at the White House. It was impressive to me carve out time out of his schedule to do something that showed he was an ordinary human being.

It was quite endearing to see that he would stop what he’s doing and care about children for a change and make a difference in their lives saying “the President cares about you.”

Halloween is my least favorite of all the holidays, due to all the junk with kids are given and all the news reports hear about people giving kids horrible things but they shouldn’t.

I love it when local malls and big Resorts here in Las Vegas do their part to give a safe Halloween for the kids and make it a nice event for families.

This was sent to me today in my email from the White House website.

I am happy to see the President of the United States bending down to the level of a child’s face and showing that he cares about children, if even in a small way.

What is sleep hygiene and how does yours rate? Here’s an article from Tuck sleep which will help you avoid being hooked on sleeping pills and get a good night sleep.

Image from Tuck Sleep’s Pinterest Board.

I was contacted by one of their marketing people and they asked if I would print some of their articles on TotallyInspiredMind for my many readers and dedicated followers.

I was really impressed when I read how many very popular news stations had picked up their articles about everything from sleep quality to mental health topics and other pertinent information.

I agreed with them wholeheartedly and was also honored to work with them and that my website got the attention of a well recognized company like Tuck Sleep.

Our working together is a prime example of the triple wind scenario in action. They win, I win, and you-my very special readers win as well!

The Serenity of The Sea and Me and Sheer Bliss Makes Three by Paulette Le Pore Motzko

Though I live in a dusty, hot desert, where the prettiest views are of majestic moutain vista’s on a clear day, after the wind whips the smog from the air, and in the Springs Preserve, my wildlife desert sanctuary.

Autumn is the month where I always say thank God it’s finally full when it finally feels like California does all year!

Is it worth the extra real estate prices-hell yes!

I will get paid triple to quadruple what I get paid here in Nevada and people have higher aspirations like staying in school and getting them the college degrees that give them better, high paid jobs which trickle down to me- more can afford to hire me seriously to pay me top commercial photography prices and writing Web content and other interesting creative projects.

It’s only a matter of time and I will be back where I never wanted to leave at all.

I am simply happier there in southern California where I lived most of my life.

I can write Web Content for any California company here in Vegas but earn CA salary.

I applied for a position like that last night and I hope I get it.

I will make it happen.

I want the freedom to live anywhere I choose and the $ gives me that.

What an astonishing thing a book is. It’s a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which is imprinted lots of funny, dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you’re inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.- Paraphrased from Carl Sagan

Je Te Veux by Satie, a One of my favorite French Waltzes

Years ago I had a Roland digital grand in my front room when I was living with Mom and Dad years ago in their large duplex in the second house.

On the demo was this song and it was the first time I ever heard it, but I knew I loved it and I wanted to play it special order the sheet music and when it arrived from Sam Ash I read on the notation from Eric Satie:

“To Madame Paulette”

When I went to go play it I found that the piece, just like some of Henry Mancini’s pieces like Peter Gunn or Ubie Blake’s jazz riffs, who all had massive hands- my hands weren’t large enough to play the extended octave harmonies in the song!

Oh well….one of those things on life we can’t change but live with.

I love the song anyhow as long as I have ears to hear to enjoy music with.

Adapting I’d the key to happiness in life and being satisfied with the what you have while aspiring for greater ventures.

My hands are large enough to play most every other thing though.

Enjoy Je Te Veux.

I’m on cloud nine when…in the presence of great books

I’m on Cloud 9 with great books by my side, like long-standing friends known intimately, sharing information, wisdom and knowledge.

Since a small child, when I understood phonetics all because my mother took the time to explain how to sound out words-was the best teacher I ever knew- reading to me from the time I was a very small child. She never talked baby talk nor wouldn’t because it would insult my intelligence and undermine what she could teach me. She treated me like a young adult and talked to me as her equal; I knew I could ask mom anything and she would give me the right answer for it.

At 4 years old I started reading and looking at the photos in books and my parents fortunately always took the time to explain to me WHAT I was looking at.

They answered any questions I might had through my life, and I will thank them for ever for giving me life, unfailing love and doing for placing me first in their lives.

Both of them did made me their priority throughout both of their lives. God bless them both forever in heaven.

I thank Dad for explaining the meaning of suffixes and prefixes is it helped me figure out what words meant without even knowing the definition, but by knowing the Latin roots of the word and what the origin meant.

I possess the wonderful unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and in gaining fresh insights from the greatest minds in the world, both past and present.

Be it an inventor, or scientist, artist or musician, photographer, actor or actress, producer or director, composer or digital artist, who paints pictures with their words to enlighten people’s minds and inflame their hearts.

When you look at life through my way of seeing things, with a room full of books or one great one that gets better with every turn of a page, or an audio book told by a fabulous narrator.

Life simply cannot be boring when You See It Through The Eyes of a Nikon camera lens. I had a Creative Writing teacher who compared writing to looking through a Nikon camera lens and one of the exercises she gave us was to describe everything in the most picturesque, vivid detail is that the person had never seen that in their life. She was also in my Honors English/Humanities program at Garden Grove High School.

The teachers were so great there I took every course they had in English and it was like a game to me.

That’s when you know you have great teachers and they do exist. They are walking among us today and we need to pay them more money because they are the start of it all.

They’re the Genesis of our society and from them comes future generations to come.

They are second to mothers as far as I’m concerned, because one gives life and nurtures and instills knowledge about good and bad choices but a truly great teacher can not only teach you the class subject but be a confidante, and someone that becomes the most influential person that child may ever know.

Teachers form the lives of children into adults of the future.

Every great teacher has an arsenal of their favorite books that they recommend and read to children as well is the required curriculum.

I am never alone when in the presence of great minds.

Life simply can’t be boring when I can see the potentials for a great story unfolding when I meet an interesting, creative person.

Paraphrased from my high school teacher Eva Covington, who gave me a precious Buxton jewelry box I have in my closet to this day. (I look at with and smile, and I remember the day she gave it to me smiling with her gray hair and her pretty horne rimmed eyeglasses, with her warm, blue eyes twinkling.)

With a gentle smile she said to me:

“The more you read, the more you expose yourself to new ideas and new ways of thinking, new cultures and new civilizations and life itself. That leads to being a better speaker, getting better jobs and just being liked by everyone because you can communicate no more effective way. She made it all makes sense, even though I was the only person in the class that really got what she was talking about, she had a big picture view why we did what we did and she enabled me to see that big picture view too.

Remember Eva Covington and her life changing words. If you remember them and look at books, reading and knowledge in a new way you’ll see the big picture view too.

Teach your children with the intent not to just make them good people but to make them brilliant kids.

So when everybody was hating doing grammar she said “you only have to do this once you know it all and the rules behind it all it becomes kind of like the science behind words.

What was the name of the last book you read and why did it make such a big impression?

I hope that I inspire you to pick up a book or listen to an audiobook or read one of the many ebooks available in the world today.

We do live in an extraordinary time in October 2018.

Did you know that Google Play Books has most every book in the public domain available for free? They do!

You can even have a chapter delivered to your email box everyday so you can read little by little. Did you know that? I did. That’s why I’m telling you.

If you want to listen to phenomenal audiobooks, many of them free, go to the app Librivox.

Or how about simply go to your nearest library close to you with a friend or by yourself which I normally do.

Did you know on Google Maps on the app you can not only look for local restaurants and places to go but you can search all the libraries in your area no matter where you live in the world? Well I’m glad I’m the one that told you!

Knowledge is the most valuable thing that you will ever have in your life as Robert Kiyosaki bully States and most of his writings . The most valuable thing you’ll ever possess is between your set of ears, and in your integrity and in your reputation and in doing what you really say you’re going to do and being honest and genuine.

To me I’m also on cloud nine when I have extraordinary people around me and I share a special bond in a way with someone that’s very difficult to find.

This story begin is what was going to be simply a quote that I was going to write on YourQuote today.

I thank him for having us right to it because this would have never emerged.

It was the Catalyst that brought this out in me. It’s funny that earlier in the day, before I ever knew what the springboard was going to be I photographed an image which I’m going to do some digital embellishing on and then I’m going to print it as the main picture for the story and it goes perfectly with it.

There’s an example of the Law of Attraction working perfectly in sync in my life.

Be blessed everyone no matter where you live and what situation you’re in. Be blessed and be thankful because it could be worse and you can always make it better.

Express yourself completely, then keep quiet. Be like the forces of nature: when it blows, there is only wind; when it rains, there is only rain; when the clouds pass, the sun shines through.

If you open yourself to the Tao, you are at one with the Tao, and you can embody it completely.

If you open yourself to Insight, you are at one with Insight and you can use it completely.

If you open yourself to loss, you are at one with loss and you can accept it completely.

Open yourself to the Tao, then trust your natural responses; and everything will fall into place.

I was nearly raped and killed on October 5th, 2018 Tenant turned predator. Thank God I Wasn’t!

It was the last horrible thing that could possibly happen to me in this dust bowl of a town full of drug addicts, pimps, weirdos, rapists and every other kind of person the wind blows in.

There are good people in this town, but one of the after here but four years I’ve developed a knack for figuring if someone is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, marijuana by the way they walk and move and talk and it’s a good thing to know to stay Street Smart here.

It was a talent I really didn’t want to know but now I do.

That was the reason why I didn’t want a roommate but had to pay for my place somehow since they raise my rent which takes my entire SSI check now!

This individual Brian Dockery, passed the background check and criminal check and it took over 7 hours to finally get Metro Police to go put him behind bars!

It almost every aspiration and dream that I’ve ever had go up in flames because of an idiot, and I thank God I Am STILL HERE to WRITE THESE WORDS.

This town crippled me physically, hopefully only temporarily, because RTC doesn’t open books and are ignorant where invisible disabilities are concerned.

They don’t know how to read a doctor’s letter either that stated I needed it to prevent injury!

Because of that I can think Nevada for osteoarthritis in the ankle I broke needlessly and my back contusion in June.

I am making plans to relocate in time to a place where my life quality is better, the people are kinder.

CA pays $900 in ssi, here a lousy $750, and when I become almost history Nevada will be history as I was almost a rape victim!

Enough is enough!

So I guess you all read my words or do you?

Some of you even liked this post which is really disturbing because I read something like this I would say something to the person to show you gave a damn about their welfare.

What I’m learning is I’m a rarity in this world very few are who are compassionate, caring, and sensitive people.

And I’m doing that because I’ve had one of the worst years of my life and I’m not going to tell you why. If you really read my blog you know why I would say that.

To run this business plan that’s quite expensive and I’m not getting any closer to monetizing it than the Man in the Moon. So it gives me peace of mind at this time to simply keep the site but just maybe pair down the site to a less expensive one until its monotized.

Bless you all wherever you are and in what you might be going through just know I care.

Fancy Pants by Floyd Cramer a pretty jazzy song to put a lilt in your step!

When I was growing up my dad would put 45 RPMs and 33 RPMs on the huge big stereo that we had in this family room growing up in Orange County California. One day you put on something by Floyd Cramer and said can you play like him I need to plan it back and forth till finally I got the hang of how he hits the Grace notes and how we played. A lot of my piano playing style was modeled after Floyd Cramer.
