I’m 18% through Spark Joy (Unabridged) by Marie Kondo, narrated by Sumalee Montano on my Audible app.

I went through all my clothes once more and Salvation Army picked up a bunch of boxes several months ago. Then The Salvation Army could turn my pergectly wearable, good condition too big clothes and turn them into money that would provide services for the poorest in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After reading on Google Playbooks a sample of Spark Joy after seeing a Pinterest photo that illustrated a simple and rewarding life, I knew buying the Audible book would be an investment in myself. I have been listening to Spark Joy while “tidying” as she calls it or organizing. Cleaning is like a purifying of the soul.
The organizing makes the cleaning easy.
I went through my closet, taking Marie Kondo’s advice, and holding each blouse up to me and saying “does this spark Joy”? Ms. Kondo says that hold the things that you wear closest to your heart and they will elicit the most emotion.
Such a simple thing to ask yourself, but if the item didn’t “spark joy” or if it gave me a bad memory-and I had my share of them, or whatever- out it went and in came peace of mind to replace it!
Now when I look at my closet, everything I own is pristine and looks wonderful and is new and it’s a smaller size and reflects the best of who I am.
I say thank you Mary Kondo for writing this extraordinary book that is revolutionising the way I think and also what I own and simplifying my life allowing me to enjoy it more.
