Autumn Haiku

Leaves blowing away

Like the many months before

Where did this year go?

I have one here Polly… but not a 575.

Written by Willie BongKY my kind friends from Facebook that I’ve known 10 years who lives in the Philippines. We met years ago on a haiku group on Facebook, and he’s a literal master of haiku and all the forms. He was the one that created the page in the first place and moderated it and it fascinated me so I had to get to know more.

I posted the Haiku I wrote on Facebook and Willie wrote this.

I’m hoping you all will try your hand at the 5-7-5 fillable free verse pattern as well. In traditional times the Haiku were about nature, but you can write it about anything, if you like, not just Autumn.
