Devote 46 minutes to listening to Brian Tracy’s wise words.
We can all learn something from what he has to say.
Everybody has time for what matters to them.
You can listen to this while you’re doing something else; I do this all the time.
I’ll go to YouTube and pull out videos that I want and then I Evernote them so I can go back and pull them up anytime I want. Then while I’m doing something mundane I can turn it into something really extraordinary and empower myself.
By doing that it makes the chore or not so much a chore but a joy.
By the way, in case you don’t know what Evernote is, it’s a app for Android and – I’m not sure if it’s on iPhone- because I don’t have one, but it’s got over a billion downloads and it’s the most extraordinary and versatile note taking app in the world.
I was able to go through all my old paperwork and go paperless with it by “evernoting” the documents turning them into digital files and then destroying the original when I felt it was okay with a cross-cut shredder so that the pieces cannot be put together no matter what you do.
Here in Las Vegas we have a fraud rate of very high lot of criminals goofballs and weirdos and there is always going to be somebody who’s out there trying to put together a bank statement or an old credit card and whatever. I read a book on downsizing on Google Play books and I followed what it said.
I wanted to create systems that would enable me to find what I wanted when I wanted. I was not doing that so when I know I don’t care for the situation I fix it.
I went through reams of old papers and things I just didn’t need. I also knew that once I did it it I would see papers piled again because I created system’s to manage the influx coming in daily.
Now, as soon as the mail comes junk mail does not enter my house any longer, instead the garbage is its new home.
I got a small desktop size cross-cut shredder that takes credit cards and any kind of thing so I can shred the stuff immediately turning it to confetti or packing material if you wanted it to be.
Another “note on Evernote” as you can take pictures of something. For example if you’re wanting to make a recipe in a cookbook, you can create a notebook on nothing but recipes you want to try. You can then take image of the recipe and make notes about it and it will save it for you so you don’t have to open the book and you can just open the note.
Also if you’re a creative type like I am-you can capture an idea so it doesnt fly away like a butterfly in a field of wildflowers.
You can elaborate on the idea and save it for all time in a notebook all its own.
If one or two or three things I said here and this video helps you than you will make me one happy lady.
I hope you have a very blessed day in every way. I got up about 4:45 this morning and watched the beautiful sunrise here in Las Vegas through my picture windows and it was so pretty and peaceful.
