While some of these ideas for your used books or read books may not be your style, there may be a few ideas that you may see as creative and useful.
A great book is one of my favorite gifts in the world. It isn’t because of the value of the pages or the cover but rather the value of the words, concepts and what the book means and the writer’s intent.
My favorite idea depicted in this article on Bustle.com is showcasing books in pretty, colorful, sturdy frames on your wall.
I have quite a few bookcases already, and I’m contemplating the last thing I really need in my life to create organization in my place, giving me serenity and peace- is a book storage system.
I have donated a lot to my local library that I just didn’t want anymore and feel good that I did- because I love that Library.
My biggest book case in my front room turned into my “Teapot Menagerie” and cook book haven.

A book as one of those things that, if you use it, rely on it or go back to it- don’t give it away. If you love something and you use it, then it serves a valid purpose. It is the books you’ve read and think they could be better placed in someone else’s hands that you pass on.
I wouldn’t give anyone a bad book, but rather one I think they personally would love and enjoy.
I have some “give away or donate books” that will be dealt with this week.
I really don’t want anything, but rather enjoy what I have with great people.
As a writer I do that a lot. As I have changed I see new things in the story or content. I guess what I am trying to say is: books changes as you change because your perception of them changes.
The way you look at the story and characters, in the sense of fiction books or classic literature is not the same as you would see the story as a 14 year old-1st year of high school, versus let’s say a 54 year old lady like me now.
As a writer I love a book in my hand with pictures that you can put in a bag and take with you anywhere and you and don’t have to mess around with power outages or the internet and you can just read it good old-fashioned book with a cover.
Occasionally I will read a digital book or listen to an audio book, which is fantastic, because the spoken word has much more impact than the written one sometimes.
On one of my bags I carry it says:
“A room without books is like a room without windows.”
I hope you enjoyed this piece and no matter if you own one great book or 100- may you grow in knowledge and wisdom and share it with others.
