Prayer to Respect All Life – Oblates of Mary Immaculate

This one comes from The Oblates of Mary Immaculate and I liked what it says so well I wanted to share it in hopes a few of my readers would be touched by its empowering words too.

The Oblates of Mary Immaculate helps donate to countries all over the world and helps the poor and I have supported their efforts for many years.

This comes out of special prayer book of mine called Our Lady of Fatima Book of Prayers that I carry around with me. It has all kinds of prayers in it used as book marks for other prayers and meditations and blessings from places like the Society of the Little Flower and other special prayers and meditations I collected over the years.

If all of us said this prayer, weather we created it from our hearts or from The Oblates of Mary Immaculate, wouldn’t this be a better world if we all strived for this?

Yes is the answer to that.

If everyone in the world strived to remove prejudice, bigotry, and tried to treat everybody equally, no matter who they were: different, disabled, white, black, Arab, Mexican, Cuban, Japanese, Chinese, German, French etc…you get the idea…
Just think how much better the world would be.
Just imagine.
If we imagine long enough for our imaginations to become very vivid, that imagination just may become reality one day.

Use Your Finest Talents

Do you know what gives you the most joy in life? Have you ever allowed yourself to think about it? I mean think about it, with no influence from any one else. If you’re around people who are supportive of what you believe in they will elevate your dreams and help you make them reality.

If you have a lot of naysayers who belittle your dreams, you should not associate with them.

Who would you nominate for being an outstanding individual?

Is there somebody you know that makes a difference and doesn’t take the easy way out in life?

Is there somebody you know that even though maybe everything isn’t perfect for them, they still move forward and strive for new goals and build character and courage?

Is there someone you know that if they were not in your life the world would not be the same again?

Who is that person or who are those people?

Can you describe them in detail?

Share with the over 2,500 readers on Totally Inspired Mind from a diverse background of over 100 countries monthly …..why exactly they’re special to you.

I am interested in hearing about people who are positive in spite of negative surroundings. These are people who shine a light that gleams from their soul and projects that light out into the universe and then to every person’s heart they meet.

I am nominating a great friend of mine turned family- Vinny Oliver.
We sat across from each other at The Grand Cafe at The Texas Station Hotel and Gambling Hall. The sparkle in his eye caught mine and he laughed when I asked the waitress if I could move away from the people in back of me who used language that sounded like it came directly from the ghetto or sewer with expletives every other word. His laughing meant he agreed with me, which was nice.

I met Vinny when he was in Las Vegas on a business trip and I know we were supposed to meet. He ended up helping me in a very big way shortly after I met him, and I am living a better life because of it.

I was praying for a miracle only thr day before, and I know in retrospect the miracle had legs and a big smile and his name is Vinny Oliver.

He possess integrity, kindness, compassion and shines a light of goodness out into the world and makes a difference in people’s lives wherever he goes. He is a wonderful son and cares about his mother to the same capacity I care about mine -the world.

Vinny just texted me these words about how he’d define success, without knowing I nominated him for anything :

“Being success is not defined by how much you have but if you are happy, at ease, and have a passion for life and what you are doing. That is my definition.”

We talk almost daily and I learn and grow somehow in each time we talk, from his extraordinary influence in my life.

Put your nomination for standing individual in the comment box.

In My Box of Prayers by Paulette L Motzko

In my box of prayers special inspirational books called “Day By Day” dated 1989, that I have saved over the years and return to over and over again.

I found this old Salesian missions prayer book that I in a church bazaar at Blessed Sacrament church in Garden Grove California years ago. They had a country store that was made up of donations from all the parishioners over Blessed Sacrament church. In the bottom of this massive box full of plastic stained glass hangings and other things that work very much, I found a book of Salesian mission verses and prayers.

On the back of the book reads…
” Every morning…
Lean thine arms awhile upon the windowsill of heaven and gaze upon thy Lord. Then, with the vision in thy heart, turn strong to meet thy day.”

This particular book was compiled and edited by Sarah Tarascio, and illustrated by Frank Massa, Paul Scully, and Russel Brushee.

Inside the back page reads:

Our beautiful inspirational books send quiet messages of hope and joy to all who have faith in Him. If you would like to receive or inspirational series of books (one every two months per year), write to us for more information:

When I was unpacking one of my many books, I found this wonderful book mark I bought probably 20 years ago. This is what it said. ..

The Difference
Author Unknown

I got up early one morning rushed right into the day.

I have so much to accomplish I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.

Why does in god help me? I wondered, he answered,  “you didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, what the day toiled on, grey and bleak.
I wondered

I wondered why God didn’t show me.
He said, “but you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence.
I used all my keys at the lock.

God gently and lovingly chided,
“My child you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day,

I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.
