This wonderful and powerful visualization exercise comes from Diane Lang author of “Creating Balance & Finding Happiness.”

I found this when I was reading the September 2014 Family Circle. A magazine I have been reading since I was 12 years old and one I want to write for one day.

Negative thoughts and anxiety can actually weaken your immune system. Stay strong with some smart thinking in the shower.

“While you wash up, focus on positive things in your life and imagine all your negativity running down the drain.” You’ll step onto that bath mat feeling refreshed inside and out.”

“Make your shower time a special ritual too”, says Paulette L Motzko, “with special shower gels in your favorite fragrances, a nice soft bath sponge or bath puff to wash with, put on nice music as well. Make the entire experience one of renewal and refreshment in body and mind.”

A Happy Little Thanksgiving To Everyone!

I hope each one who reads this post is able to share your blessings with others and open your home (provided you have one-I know people who don’t), and hold hands, say a grateful prayer to God that you’re alive. I am very grateful and thankful because I had a close call this week.

If you are breaking bread with family, consider yourself especially blessed because some have no family to do that with. If you are celebrating a Friendsgiving, enjoy those around you and your adopted family.

Remember this is the time to be “thankful” and to “give”, hence the name Thanksgiving.

Volunteer feeding the less fortunate. Cook for a charity that needs help. Visit a senior center and brighten up a life who has been forgotten about.
You will receive the gift of a smile brighter than the sun and your heart will be lighter too.
Visit a children’s hospital and bring cup cakes or cookies (as long as you call the hospital administrator asking if it is OK.) Or, you can bring books for the children and write an uplifting phrase inside of the book, signing it so they will know they are cared about, special and not forgotten.
