“What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.” –
Henry David Thoreau
From one of my all time favorite writers and extraordinary minds in the literary world, Henry David Thoreau comes this quote about our human potential.
Ever since I read Walden by him in my Honors English class in high school, I was hooked and fascinated at the same time.
When Thoreau wrote Walden he lived without modern amenities and chose to so he could think, ponder his existence and simplify everything. If you have never read the book Walden, pick it up at your local library, or get it for free on Google Books. You can read most any classic book in public domain, thanks to the Google initiative to make classic works accessable to everyone.
