Tea Parties, Mothers and Recollections

It is wonderful to meet k8edid through her words here about her mother and her relationship with her. I used to have tea parties all the time with my mother Ramona Lea who is 81 years old with Alzheimer’s disease and lives with my sister temporarily in Moreno Valley, CA, about an hour from me. In a month’s time the house that my parent’s had together will be sold, and it is a sad thing for many reasons.
I miss the special dinners mom and I had together and the many things we used to do together and will savor them like a cup of tea in my memory forever.
I welcome you to not only join Totally Inspired Mind but add any of your very touching words any time.

The photo is not of my mom Ramona Le Pore but of the author k8edid who wrote this from her blog.

Read this outstanding article from StemCollege about how to prepare disabled students on the value of persistence. I know about this all too well, because I was once one of them enrolled in Special Ed classes and Adaptive PE classes later in my life.
The ability to be a positive role model for others with disabilities is critical. To inspire another human being to become, to grow to greater heights is my greatest pleasure on earth.

Read the courageous words of Peggy Wright in her blog “Strengthened by Grace” about her father and her precious memories of him. I wish you peace and my most sincere condolences to your family at this time.

The Way People Treat You is a Statement About Who They Are…

The Way People Treat You is a Statement About Who They Are...

I have been reminding myself of that for the last two years as I have been battling the very arrogant, selfish and hateful actions of my siblings Brenda Bunker, Mike Bunker-brother in law, Bob Le Pore and Mike Le Pore.
They have rose themselves to all time lows of character, demeanor and gave new meaning to the world apeahetic and selfish.
I lived next to my mother in a large duplex for 12 years. They want me out of the property to sell it and get the money. Greed unfortunately changes people into monsters.

Good news: Though we are related I do not represent their ideals, or viewpoints and still know the meaning of honesty and integrity. That is really all that matters.

Describe Yourself in Words & Pictures in the Guest Book on “Cooking Up a Storm All Over The World!”

purpleflowersinlongbeach4.09The site that began it all with me in the world of blogging was my first cooking site called “Cooking Up a Storm All Over The World!” I read an article in a writing magazine and it opened my eyes to the potential of blogging, what it was and what it could do for my writing career. I read it, read it again, then learning everything about this mysterious thing called a “blog”.

Two years later there are 207 members on the site from all over the world, and there are a few Contributing Writers who share their “fortes” with the world, adding a recipe a week, a forum topic and a discussion. It gives them experience, exposure and allows me to share their fantastic content on my site. I also share their posts with my 1000 followers between Face Book and Twitter for posting things on my site, as a Thank You.

One of the things you can do is join it, check it out and see if you might like to share your expertise on it. Also, this year I am going to be creating the first Field Correspondent, who will tell about their city and state and what is new and hot in that area then report on it. It will be required to have a video camera on your phone or a real one to do it, and some one to video you for the short 3 to 5 minute videos that will be uploaded to the video section of the site.

I envision it being pretty exciting and dynamic as well.

I would love to have one from every state eventually in the USA.

Here is the link to the section on the site that will allow you to sign the Guest Book. What I ask people to do on it, is not simply sign your name, but describe yourself in words and pictures.

You will have to copy and paste that to your browser.

I hope I see some new ones. That is what makes the site great.
